ZIMBABWE FOTBALL ASSOCIATION (ZIFA) VACANCIES
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is the governing body of football in Zimbabwe. It is a legal entity registered in terms of the Sports and Recreation Commission Act. It is affiliated to Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA). The Association seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the positions listed below:
POSITION: HEAD COACH – SENIOR MEN’S TEAM
REPORTING TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
LOCATION: ZIFA HEAD OFFICE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Observe and subject himself to the rules and regulations of ZIFA, COSAFA, CAF, FIFA or any other organization which ZIFA shall be a member
Give technical assistance to the team in a manner that is efficient, effective, professional and to the best of his ability in all material times
Attend all training sessions and soccer matches or other Association functions at all material times
Ensure that players adhere to the ZIFA code of conduct and conditions outlined in their contracts of engagement
Advise the Secretariat of the players he wishes to engage for every match
Recommend to the Chief Executive officer the appointment of members of his technical team
Ensure that the Senior team qualifies and excels for all major tournaments and assignments
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Should be a holder of a CAF A Coaching Badge or equivalent
At least 10 years international football experience
Practical Knowledge of Zimbabwean and African football
Knowledge of English Language
Educational Background (A degree is an added advantage)
Modern football analysis skills
POSITION: GENERAL MANAGER –NATIONAL TEAMS
REPORTING TO: CORPORATE SERVICES MANAGER
LOCATION: ZIFA HEAD OFFICE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Draft National Teams’ budgets
Draft and send call up letters for selected players
Arrange local and International flights for selected players and officials
Arrange accommodation for the entire team prior the start of the camp
Arrange training facilities
Arrange road transport for the players and officials
Capture selected players daily allowances and bonuses
Draft and submit National team report/s
Planning with Head Coach and Technical Staff prior, during and post the team camps
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A Sporting Degree/Diploma is a prerequisite
Should possess a clean class 4 driver’s license
A coaching license is an added advantage
At least 10 years international football experience
Practical Knowledge of Zimbabwean and African football
Knowledge of English Language
Information Technology Literacy skills.
POSITION: TECHNICAL ASSISTANT/TRAINING OFFICER
REPORTING TO: TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
LOCATION: ZIFA HEAD OFFICE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To lead and manage the Zimbabwe Football Association technical desk office in achieving its core objectives of:
Ensuring delivery of integrated programmes aimed at providing related activities to stakeholders
Developing partnership and co-ordination between relevant statutory and voluntary bodies involved in football education and its development
Researching causes and trends in application to develop innovative responses aimed at developing the Zimbabwe Football Association long term perspectives in football education and its activities
Reporting to the Technical Director of the Zimbabwe Football Association who has the overall responsibility for monitoring and coordinating the implementation of the Association’s Development Plan including:
Overseeing the development and implementation of the Association’s “Long Term Technical Perspectives” in Football Education
Providing strategic leadership and support to all relevant agencies
Evaluating and reviewing programme delivery in agreeing improvement plan
Developing and continuously improving the level of Football Education in the country
Developing further the ‘partnership’ style with the relevant bodies
Maximizing the synergies which can be achieved through close working relationship between all bodies involved in the development of sport and in particular football
Collecting, analyzing and disseminating information on new trends and relevance of Football Education
Developing and securing agreement for the Association’s own strategy and plan, as adopted by the Executive Committee
Any other duties related to the enhancement of Football Education and its activities
Running the office in the absence of the TD, compiling reports and producing other necessary documentation as and when needed
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
At least holder of a CAF “A” Coaching Badge.
Person shall be of good character
Between 30 and 45years old and shall be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render efficient services
Good standard of education background with minimum of a Diploma in Sports Coaching or Management. A degree in sports coaching or management will be an added advantage
Computer literate.
Good experience and knowledge on the status of Football in general
An understanding of the Association’s Long-Term Perspectives as outlined in the Technical Development Plan

POSITION: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
REPORTING TO: TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
LOCATION: ZIFA HEAD OFFICE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

At least the holder of a CAF “B” Coaching Badge or equivalent
Good standard of education background at least Diploma in Sports Management/Coaching
Computer literate

POSITION: GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL OFFICER
REPORTING TO: TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Researching causes and trends in application to develop innovative responses aimed at developing the Zimbabwe Football Association long term perspectives in Grassroots Football and its bye-product
Reporting to the Technical Director of the Zimbabwe Football Association who has the overall responsibility for monitoring and coordinating the implementation of the Association’s Development Plan including:
Overseeing the development and implementation of the Association’s “Long Term Technical Perspectives” in Grassroots Football and its activities
Providing strategic leadership and support to all relevant agencies
Evaluating and reviewing programme delivery in agreeing improvement plan
Developing and continuously improving the level of Grassroots Football in the country
Developing further the ‘partnership’ style with the relevant bodies
Maximizing the synergies which can be achieved through close working relationship between all bodies involved in the development of sport and in particular football

Holder of a FIFA Grassroots Football Certificate
Person must be of good character
Person shall be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render efficient services
Good standard of education background, a Sports Diploma qualification
Computer literate
Good experience and knowledge on the status of Grassroots Football in general
An understanding of the Association’s Long-Term Perspectives as outlined in the Technical Development Plan

POSITION: REFEREES DESK OFFICER
REPORTING TO: TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
LOCATION: ZIFA HEAD OFFICE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Runs the Referees’ Desk department within the Member Association (ZIFA)
To develop all referees’ categories
To assist the Referees’ Committee
To implement decisions adopted by the Referees’ Committee
To carry out all task related to logistic of the refereeing department
To carry out all administrative duties of the refereeing department
To implement programs to develop the referees according to guidelines approved by the Referees’ Committee
Organising courses for referees, instructors and match assessors
To prepare and produce teaching materials in line with the laws of the game issued IFAB
Keeping all referees’ data base
Clearing International Referees’ and Match Commissioners through SRC and Immigration
Applying for visas for the Referees and Match Commissioners
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of a Diploma/Degree in Sports Science
Aged between 30 and 45 years and must be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render efficient services

POSITION: ACCOUNTS CLERK
REPORTING TO: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
LOCATION: ZIFA HEAD OFFICE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Preparing payments
Posting entries in the accounting software i.e. Pastel Partner
Preparing reconciliations
Filing all accounting records
Assisting with audits
Assisting with match reconciliations
Invoicing customers and requesting for statements from service providers
Ensure that all payments are authorised before processing
Ensuring that all payments have acceptable quotations, purchase order, actual invoice etc
Assisting the Accounts Department on daily operations and event management
Any other special task assigned by management.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a Diploma in accounting or any finance related field
Knowledge of pastel and other accounting software
Basic knowledge in football administration
POSITION : MARKETING OFFICER
REPORTING TO : CORPORATE SERVICES MANAGER
LOCATION : ZIFA HEAD OFFICE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handles all Marketing aspects of the Association
Develops and implements the Association’s Marketing Strategy
Develops and implements the marketing policies and procedures
Develops and implements, managing and servicing sponsorships
Develops and implements the brand and image of the Association
Implements and maintains/augments marketing research strategy and maintains relevant databases
Improves marketing capability of the Association and its affiliates to promote football in Zimbabwe and to increase their commercial income
Manages the Marketing, sponsorship and commercial activities, as directed by the ZIFA Board through the CEO
Oversees exhibitions of the Association.
Any other duties as assigned by Management .
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a Degree in Marketing
A qualification in media and communication is an added advantage
A proven track record in managing sponsorships

POSITION : ZIFA VILLAGE MANAGER
REPORT TO : CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
LOCATION : ZIFA HEAD OFFICE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Runs the ZIFA Village
Management of guests
Answer inquiries pertaining to village policies and services and solve occupants’ complaints
Assign duties to Village workers
Participate in financial issues such as the setting of room rates, the establishment of budgets and the allocation of funds
Confer and co-operate with other managers in order to ensure coordination of village activities
Collect payments and record data pertaining to income & expenditure
Manage and maintain temporary or permanent lodging facilities
Observe and monitor staff performance in order to ensure efficient operations and adhere to facility’s policy and procedure
Train staff members in their duties
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the Village
Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness and appearance
Purchase supplies and arrange for services such as deliveries, laundry, maintenance and repairs

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A diploma in Office Administration or its equivalent
Must be familiar with word processing, database, desktop publishing, spread sheet and presentation software
Should possess good typing skills, as well as proficiency in grammar, spelling and writing
