AP – President Donald Trump’s legal team will include former Harvard University law professor Alan Dershowitz and Ken Starr, the former independent counsel who led the Whitewater investigation into President Bill Clinton, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The team will also include Pam Bondi, the former Florida attorney general.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the person wasn’t authorized to speak on the record.

My initial thoughts is that Ken Starr has been through this before with the Clinton impeachment and having that experience and legal expertise on Team White House will be a great asset.

Alan Dershowitz is a great legal mind and has been in Trump’s corner on this throughout, and I’ve no doubt he’d do a great job. However a part of me wonders if this is in part a way for Trump to reward Dershowitz for loyalty.

I wonder the same about Pam Bondi. I know she was the AG in Florida, but beyond that I don’t know much about her legal expertise. What do you think?- Agencies
