By A Correspondent| Information deputy minister Energy Mutodi has told opposition leader Nelson Chamisa to step down from party presidency and pave way for a fresh congress.

Mutodi’s remarks follow a Supreme Court ruling handed down Tuesday afternoon which declared that Chamisa is not the legitimate President of the MDC.

Said Mutodi:

“Way Forward For Chamisa is simply to step down and allow a fresh congress where Biti, Sikhala, Mwonzora, Khupe and others contest for the post. A Democratic party must not fail the test of democracy,”
