Farai Dziva|The country’s main opposition party, MDC, says it will lodge a formal complaint against the police for assaulting a party councillor in Marondera.

Ward 8 councillor, Dzuke was bashed by police details on Monday.

During the scuffle, a police officer accused the opposition party of causing “people’s suffering.”

“We condemn the beating of Councillor Dzvuke of Ward 8, Marondera, by the police.

He was beaten while going to replenish a sanitizer at the borehole in Nyameni.

The opposition party says it will lodge a complaint against police brutality.
