Thokozani Khupe MDC Alliance apologist and political critic, Pedzisai Ruhanya has urged MDC Alliance members to give the leader of the MDC-T, Thokozani Khupe some respect as she is not as bad as some people who are locked in a gruesome leadership wrangle with Nelson Chamisa.
Ruhanya’s remarks come after suggestions that Khupe used her political power to recall her ex-lover senator Gideon Shoko who is also the father of her daughter.
Posting on Twitter, Ruhanya said:
“Whatever is happening in MDC, Khupe fundamentally is a good person. She is not as malicious as Mwonzora. I urge MDC Alliance supporters to differ with her with respect and not to use gender against her. Khupe had and has a legitimate grievance than those men who joined her.”
One of the reasons why I urge MDC Alliance supporters to be careful on their differences with Hon Khupe is that we are a society that has a lot of foolish perceptions about women, where we use gender to muzzle women. On that basis I dont want to join that bandwagon. Respect her.
