State witness Collins Makore yesterday told the Harare magistrates court that he found incarcerated Zengeza West legislator Job Sikhala hiding in a ceiling after raiding a house they were staying in search of weapons.

Makore said he went to the house where Sikhala was staying armed with a search warrant and noticed an open ceiling where upon peeping through he realized there were people hiding inside.

He said he told them to come out and threatened to fire teargas for them to cooperate.

Sikhala was arrested last week and charged with inciting public violence. He is currently in court applying for bail after his application challenging placement on remand was thrown out.
