Teenager Sentenced To 18 Years In Prison For Stock Theft

A 19-year-old Marange teen, Talent Samupindi, has been slapped with an 18-year jail term following his conviction on two counts of stock theft.

The teenager who pleaded guilty to two counts of stock theft has been handed down the jail term by a Mutare court.

The teenager stole a total of 10 heifers from two complaints on different days and sold them in neighbouring villages.

He was apprehended after police was tipped off that he was selling heifers.

In a similar matter, Taona Adhonzi 36 and James Chitsiku, 46, were each sentenced to 9 years in jail for stock theft, by the Mutare court.
