By Jane Mlambo| Opposition MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa has joined the nation in paying tribute to one of the finest Zimdancehall musicians to emerge in the country, Soul Jah Love saying the country’s music industry is poorer without him.
Posting on Twitter, Chamisa said the Zimbabwe music industry is poorer without the pamamonya ipapo hitmaker while he extended condolences to his family, fans and friends.
“Our nation has lost a giant in the music industry.Young talent gone too soon,one of a kind. The music industry is poorer without this rare gift. My condolences to all Soul Jah Love fans,his family and friends. May God grant us comfort and fortitude during these trying times. RIP,” said Chamisa.
Soul Jah Love was confirmed dead upon admission at Mbuya Dorcas hospital in Waterfalls last night.
He is one of the pioneers of the Zimdancehall genre and is famed for releasing hit songs including Pamamonya ipapo, Ndini uya uya among other chart topping tracks.
