By James Gwati- Government spokesman, Nick Mangwana, has shocked the nation when he announced that Harare will experiment on Zimbabweans with the Chinese donated COVID-19 vaccine.

The government on Monday received 200 000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine from China and has announced that it will start vaccinating health workers and other frontline workers tomorrow, Thursday.

Zimbabweans are already hesitating to take up the Chinese vaccine saying that the ruling elite must take up the lead.

The ruling Zanu PF party’s big wigs such as Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, have openly said that they were not going to take the Chinese COVID-19 jab.

In a bad joke on his Twitter handle, Wednesday, Nick Mangwana said they would “experiment” the vaccine on anyone the authorities would have found roaming around the streets of Harare without exemption letters from the government.

Mangwana’s reckless tweet confirms that President Emerson Mnangagwa’s administration is also not sure of the efficacy of the donated jab.
