By Problem Masau| Zimbabwe’s cultural icon, Luckson Chikutu who is known by his moniker Manluckerz is billed to perform at a Science Festival by Uppsala University and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences tomorrow.
Manluckerz’s show which is going to be virtual is scheduled at 11:40am Swedish time and the performance can accessed at www.scifest.se.
“Manluckerz based in Uppsala, Sweden will perform with traditional music and dance from Zimambwe. A film, Chezhira: Where is Home? will be shown where Professor Michael Jones from SLU shares his experiences regarding research from Zimbabwe,” said events communication and project manager at Uppsala University Gisella Bengtsson.
SciFest is a science festival held March 4 to March 10, and it covers all disciplines; from natural science, technology, medicine, pharmacy to humanities and social sciences.
“We also provide an inspiring program in the intersection of science and culture. The festival is organized by Uppsala University and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences,” said Bengtsson.
Researchers, teachers and students come together with other exhibitors such as high schools and companies, to provide educational experience including interactive demonstrations, and scientific lectures.
SciFest invites pupils, teachers and the general public to experience science. Due to Covid 19, everything will be on-line this year.
