By James Gwati- The government said it is going to fire teachers who will engage in the planned next week strike.

Teachers this week said they were not to report for duty when schools open if the government does not review their salaries.

Schools are re-opening next week.

In a statement, Thursday, the Public Service Commission (PSC) said any civil servant who engages in the planned job action risks losing his or her job.

PSC is the employer of all civil servants.
