By A Correspondent| MDC Alliance member Vongai Tome has been denied bail by Magistrate Mangosi in Harare Today.

Tome was arrested while raising alarm that a police officer had touched her breast during a melee between police and journalists at the Harare Magistrates Court on 6 April.

The MDC Alliance Masvingo provincial Secretary General councillor Gilbert Mutubuki has been arrested. The Chiredzi Rural District Ward 18 Councillor, who is being represented by Martin Mureri, apparently communicated to colleagues saying “I am currently detained at Law and Order section at Masvingo Central police station.”

The Masvingo Criminal Investigations Department is also said to have communicated: “Councillor Mtubuki participated in a gathering with intention to cause public violence.”
