Deputy lands and agriculture minister Vangelis Haritatos has lost his father Peter Haritatos to Covid-19, ZimEye has learnt.

Peter Haritatos was a Zanu PF Central Committee member.

Posting on Twitter, Zanu PF described Peter Haritatos as a patriot and faithful servant of the party.

“It is with great sadness that l advise of the passing on of our Central Committee member & father to our Deputy Min of Agric Cde Peter Haritatos this evening. We have once again been robbed of a patriot and faithful servant of the party. RIP Baba George,” the ruling party said.

Covid-19 continue to claim tens of lives in the country with 42 people reported dead from the respiratory disease.
