By A Correspondent- The courts have persecuted a Harare man who was involved in a road accident with the Commander of the Defence Forces General Phillip Valerio by sentencing him to 12 months in jail.

Desmond Sinoia (51) is said to have rammed into General Sibanda’s car at the intersection of Glenara and Samora Machel in Harare on 23 August.

Sending him to jail Thursday, Harare magistrate Mrs Barbra Mateko also banned Sinoia from driving for the next eight months.

The accident happened when Sibanda’s aide was driving the car.
