By A Correspondent-President Emmerson Mnangagwa has won his battle with the late President Robert Mugabe’s family, in which he was fighting for the exhumation of the body of the late ruler.
Mnangagwa’s victory was pronounced by the Chinhoyi Court Friday which ruled that the late Mugabe must be exhumed and reburied at the National Heroes Acre in Harare.
This followed an appeal challenging an earlier decision by Chief Zvimba ordering Mugabe’s exhumation.
Mugabe was buried at his Zvimba homestead after the family spurned pressure from the government to have the decorated liberation war icon’s remains interred at the National Shrine.
