Matongo who was quick to announce that he is a Zimbabwean descent during his swearing in ceremony last month, died while coming from a series of ANC election meetings in Soweto on Saturday afternoon.
Details were sketchy at the time of publication, as Matongo’s spokesperson could not be reached for comment but the fatal crash was however, confirmed by a member of his inner circle, who said he was also still trying to get more information.
