By Political Reporter-Air Commodore Peter Zimondi has reportedly died.

Reports say he had not recovered from injuries sustained in a recent road accident near Chitungwiza.

Air Commodore Zimondi was promoted to the position of Director-General of Administration in the Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ) in February 2018.

He was the brother of the late Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Commissioner-General Paradzai Zimondi and cousin to the late former Air Force Commander Perrance Shiri.

Both Shiri and Zimondi died under mysterious circumstances during the COVID-19 pandemic.
