Staff Reporter | Hundreds of Zimbabweans took to the streets in Harare today in protest against the introduction of bond notes.
Zimbabweans from all walks of life united in giving a loud no to bond notes soon to be introduced in October.
Against a wave of increasing public opinion government unilaterally opted to introduce the bond notes, a token currency equivalent to the US dollar, following severe cash shortages that manifested in April.

I am sorry for all the insults and madness which I have been proposing on creating Mthwakazi nation as well as my rude comments on Gukurahundi etc. After the numerous statements allging that I am actually a Shona, I had loads of homework and confronted my mother who in her advanced age confirmed to me that I am indeed the son of Magariro from Mashonaland East. The rancor that I harbor for the Shonas has been a result of the man that I have called father all along, who apparently knew of Magariro being my father but decided to inculcate the anger and bitterness towards you Shona, Fortunately I have not in my postings used my real name otherwise it would have been a disaster. The use of Gukurahundi in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural nation is in itself disunity, if you didnt know.
Its funny that Shonas are the most divisive people with their deliberate avoidance of English and preference for Shona everywgere, even in schools, offices and business environments in Zim, yet they make the most noise about unity.
Let them unite alone as Shonas since they dont recognise that other language communities exist in Zim..

Zanu PF is being totally dishonest here, it is bringing back the Z$ with all its runaway inflation problems by the back door in the dead of night. If it was honest it would bring back the Z$ by the front door after detailed discussions to assure the people there will be financial discipline, transparency, etc.
As it is the bond notes will used to rob the ordinary people of their money as they will have their US$ taken away in return for worthless bond notes. It will not be long before the regime has more bond notes than the US$ 200 million.
The people of Zimbabwe were robbed by Zanu PF before and they must do everything in the power to resist being robbed once again. I totally agree with all those rejecting the bond notes!
