Terrence Mawawa, Chiredzi| A senior Zanu PF official is the one was forced to run for dear life following violent intraparty clashes here last week.

Francis Moyo, a Zanu PF aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Chiredzi West Constituency was given a violent chase as rogue ruling party elements stoned his vehicle.

According to party sources, the thugs were allegedly sponsored by one Farai Musikavanhu, another aspiring Zanu PF Parliamentary candidate for the same constituency.

“Moyo’s vehicle was stoned by rowdy youths sympathetic to Musikavanhu.

Moyo was forced to run for dear life as the melee ensued,” said a Zanu PF official.

Contacted by ZimEye for a comment, Moyo denied he ran away but he confirmed his vehicle was stoned by unruly party youths.
