Aspiring independent MP for Masvingo Urban Sam Chapfudza has launched a door to door campaign programme as part of frantic efforts to explain his vision to residents of the ancient city.

Chapfudza is the only independent candidate who has managed to embark on a door to door campaign programme in Masvingo Urban Constituency.

There are three main contenders in the Masvingo Urban Parliamentary election- Chapfudza, Benjamin Taguma Mazarire of Zanu PF and Jacob Nyokanhete of MDC Alliance.

Speaking to Zimeye.com in an interview yesterday, Chapfudza said he was ready to romp to victory in the July 30 polls.

“We have just launched a door to door programme and the thrust of the exercise is to interact and interface with the electorate,” said Chapfudza.

“As a vendor, I am a man of the people. I understand the problems we face in the constituency.

As such I am appealing to local residents to support my vision.As an independent candidate I represent development,” Chapfudza added.
