Terrence Mawawa| In a bizarre suicide incident, a teenager from Nhamo Village in Masvingo District hanged himself after his boss had reprimanded him for smoking mbanje.

Police sources told ZimEye.com Tinashe Nhamo(16) who was employed as a herdboy by one Joseph Manyewe could not refrain from smoking the illicit drug and took his life.

“Manyewe confronted Nhamo and ordered him to stop smoking mbanje but the latter would have none of it.

Nhamo went to his bedroom but when Manyewe knocked at his door he did not respond.

It was later discovered that Nhamo had committed suicide as his body was found hanging on a nearby tree,” police sources said.

The incident happened on August 20.Police also ruled out foul play.
