Finance minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube posted about his meeting with the United States Ambassador to Zimbabwe Brian Nichols and how as government they are focused on the reform agenda.

Soon after his post, Mthuli got a brutal response from the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) who told him that his policies had worsened the country’s economic and political situation.

Below is what Mthuli Ncube said and the response he got.

” I met with the US Ambassador to Zimbabwe to discuss Zimbabwe’s reform agenda. As government we are focussed on the reform agenda,” said Mthuli Ncube.

In response, ZCTU said

You are responsible for the human rights violations we are facing. It is your policies that are hurting citizens and which your Government is protecting by brutalising citizens. All respect is lost.
