By Own Correspondent| The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) has issued a condolence message to families of the Battlefields mine disaster.

Posted the ZCTU on its Twitter page:

We are deeply saddened by the death confirmations of artisanal miners whose bodies have so far been retrieved. We remain hopeful that more will still be rescued. These are workers who had been contributing to the nation. They deserved better and quicker assistance from the Government.
