Chiwenga, Mohadi’s Salaries Revealed

By Own Correspondent| The Vice Presidents in Zimbabwe get paid $14,000 each, a month.
The amount comprises a $7,000 basic salary and a further $7,000 in allowances.
The figure was revealed in divorce court documents of one of the VP’s Kembo Mohadi.
Part of the court documents filed by his former wife, Tambudzani (also a politician), say:
As a vice-president, the respondent (Mohadi) has more than enough financial means to meet his maintenance obligation post- divorce.
As a vice-president, the respondent is entitled to annual pension equivalent to (an) annual salary in terms of section 2 (1) (a1) of the presidential pension and retirement benefit.
The respondent’s pension constitutes extra income demonstrating his financial capacity.
