By A Correspondent- A couple from Ndandulo Village in Gokwe under Chief Mkoka has gone for more than 10 years without the duo having sex, a condition that the woman says she can’t take anymore.

Alice Njanji (52) has approached Chief Mkoka’s traditional court seeking a solution to the matter which she claims has put a strain on her marriage as her husband Nhlanhla Balamanje (56) prefers masturbating than to have sexual intercourse with her.

The couple has been married for 30 years and they have nine children.

Chief Mkoka confirmed receiving a complaint from Njanji saying he was yet to preside over the matter.

“Njanji laid a complaint that her husband no longer wants to have sex with her. She said they haven’t had sex in more than 10 years.

“She said the matter is serious such that her husband has gone to greater lengths of using his hand to pleasure himself while she is lying next to him,” said Chief Mkoka.

Chief Mkoka said Njanji also complained that Balamanje gets angry and sometimes assaults her if she tries to initiate sex.

“She also complained that her husband has a tendency of beating her up if she tries to have sex with him. Sometimes he allegedly gets angry and yanks her hand off saying he is tired,” he said.

Chief Mkoka said if the allegations about Balamanje were true they should be condemned as he must fulfil his conjugal obligations.

“If that is what he is doing it is not fair at all. Sex is the reason why they got married in the first place. If he no longer wants the woman, he must just divorce her rather than to make her suffer like this.

“If he says he wants to divorce her, obviously I will not force him to stay but I won’t allow him to treat another person like that,” said Chief Mkoka.-BMetro
