27 Cadres Further Remanded to 9th October

The 27 cadres who were unjustly arrested on 16 August 2019 appeared at the Harare Rotten Row Magistrates courts this morning.

The matter was further remanded to the 9th October.

Indications are that that the actual trial process will start on that day.

They are all currently out on bail.

The MDC is very disappointed to note that such a frivolous and vexatious matter is actually proceeding further.

This is indeed, a serious waste of our taxpayers money due to political interests of the illegitimate regime.

The 27 cadres are being unfairly victimised for expressing their legitimate rights as enshrined under section 59 of our national Constitution. Simple.

The MDC would like to once again thank all our members and leaders who managed to come out in their large numbers to court today in active solidarity.
