Zengeza West legislator, Job Sikhala has insinuated that the MDC Alliance government will close down Chikurubi maximum prison and turn it into a museum once it is elected into office.

Sikhala who was granted ZWL$50 000 bail by the High Court yesterday made the remarks after his release at Chikurubi maximum prison Wednesday afternoon.

“The new order is going to close down this horrible, inhabitable infrastructure called Chikurubi maximum prison, we are going to make sure that Chikurubi maximum prison is going to be museum, it doesn’t worthy human habitation, people there are surviving from food that does not even deserve to be served to dogs,” said Sikhala

He added that the conditions Zimbabweans are living in the country are similar to the ones being experienced inside Chikurubi maximum prison.
