Tinashe Sambiri| The bail application for MDC Alliance Youth Assembly leaders, Hon Joana Mamombe and Cecilia Chimbiri has been postponed to Wednesday.

ZINASU leader Takudzwa Ngadziore’s bail application has also been postponed to Wednesday.

MDC Alliance and Human Rights defenders have denounced the persecution of political activists in Zimbabwe.

Hon Joana Mamombe Cecilia Chimbiri and Takudzwa Ngadziore whose bail appeals were set to be heard today before Justice Chitapi, will go back to Chikurubi Female Prison and Harare Remand Prison after their matters were postponed to Wednesday.

The trio represented by Charles Kwaramba, @rose_hanzi @bamujm & Tinashe Chinopfukutwa of @ZLHRLawyers filed appeals at High Court against Harare Magistrate Vongai Guwuriro’s decision to deny them bail on charges of convening or partaking in a gathering during national lockdown.

They are accused of issuing & reading a press statement outside Harare Magistrates Court denouncing the arrest of @MakomboreroH & calling for the dismissal of @PoliceZimbabwe boss Godwin Matanga.
