By A Correspondent- The late former President Robert Mugabe could be turning in his grave following desperate attempts by his successor Emmerson Mnangagwa to reverse his achievements.
Mnangagwa Friday renamed Agribank to the Agricultural Finance Company Holdings.
Agribank was created by Mugabe at the turn of the millennium to serve the interests of his regime following the controversial land reform program he had embarked on during that period.
rEnaming the old bank, Mnangagwa created four subsidiaries for the former Agribank namely, AFC Commercial Bank, AFC Insurance, AFC Land and Development Bank, and AFC Leasing Company.
He said the old new institution will provide funding across the whole agriculture value chain from communal to large-scale farmers.
