By A Correspondent- Masvingo City has received $5million to procure a transformer at Bushmead Waterworks plant.

The city fathers were failing to supply water to residents owing to the faulty plant.

Zesa is now working round the clock to erect a 1,5km 11KVA electricity feeder line to the plant intake tower on the shores of Lake Mutirikwi.

Masvingo has been battling crippling water woes since last month despite getting supplies from Lake Mutirikwi which is Zimbabwe’s second-largest interior dam and is 97 percent full.
