When the US-based Majaivana’s face popped up as he made his acceptance speech during the Nama Legends@40 virtual awards on Saturday night, the comments section was awash with praises of his work on several Facebook pages that the show was streamed live on.
His short speech accompanied by the hit Sayiwela confirmed why he will forever be Zimbabwe’s music kingpin loved by the elders and even the younger generation.
During his acceptance speech, the background song and lyrics of the track Umoya Wami evoked emotions and a dream that many would like to see being fulfilled which is the return of Magee, as Majaivana is affectionately known, to Zimbabwe for a show.

By James Gwati- Several Non-Governmental Organizations have offered to assist the six orphaned children who are being evicted from their Mutare house by Zanu PF MP for Chipinge South, Enock Porusingazi’s son.
One of such NGOs is the Zimbabwe Disaster Relief Agency (ZIDRA) and the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights.
These NGOs said they would assist the kids with legal representation and other material support they would need until they win back their house.
Zimeye.com yesterday broke the story when it called Porusingazi seeking his response to the issue. But instead of addressing the questions from ZimEye.com Porusingazi was arrogant to the extent of threatening the publication.
By A Correspondent- High Court judge Justice Erica Ndewere said she was being persecuted for defying “unlawful” orders from Chief Justice Luke Malaba.
NewsDay reports that Justice Ndewere revealed this on the 30th of March during the sitting of retired judge Justice Simbi Mubako-led tribunal, which was set up to investigate her alleged misconduct and determine whether she was still fit to sit on the bench.
She said she was being victimised as she was singled out of 17 judges with outstanding judgments, although she had no outstanding judgments on the day she was charged and suspended.
he Constitution provides that a judge may be removed from office for inability to perform the functions of his or her office, due to mental or physical incapacity, or gross incompetence, or gross misconduct.
Otherwise, judges serve until retirement or resignation.
“I completed all my work within the three-month period as required and did not have 28 outstanding reviews and six reserved judgments on May 18, 2020 as alleged. The tribunal must provide the evidence in the form of names and case numbers,” Justice Ndewere said in her defence before the tribunal.
“I was singled out for victimisation out of a list of 17 judges with outstanding judgments, even though I had no outstanding judgments on the date I was charged and suspended.”
Charges against Justice Ndewere included failure to competently perform her duties and failure to follow due process on a number of cases.
“That contrary to your duties and professional calling as a judge, you incompetently performed your duties when on several occasions and despite several requests and warnings from your superiors you failed to deliver reserved judgments within the prescribed 90 days in breach of Judicial Code of Ethics Regulations Statutory Instrument 107/2012 in particular section 19(1) thereof, thereby failing to meet the expected judicial standards of a judge in the following cases as indicated on the attached table,” the charge sheet read.
Justice Mubako told the tribunal that Justice ministry secretary Virginia Mabhiza was asked to consider the request from Justice Ndewera’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa to withdraw from the secretariat of the tribunal.
The embattled judge claims she was targeted after she refused to take orders to deny bail to former Public Service minister Priscah Mupfumira and MDC Alliance vice-chairperson Job Sikhala.

They said their suspicion came from the precision and timing of the crime and also the late responsiveness by the authorises.

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has fired national team coach Molefi Ntseki following a disastrous Afcon qualifying campaign..
The news was confirmed by SAFA CEO Tebogo Motlanthe at a press conference on Wednesday.
Ntseki’s sacking comes a day after a meeting with the football board where he refused to resign.
The gaffer was asked to step down after failing to meet his mandate of qualifying to the 2021 Afcon tournament. The team lost 2-0 to Sudan on the final matchday and surrendered the qualifying spot to the North-Central African country.
SAFA’s National Executive Committee (NEC) then moved to terminate his contract.
“The National Executive Committee have resolved to part ways with the coach, it is just administrative things that are outstanding,” Motlanthe said at the presser.
“We are here to convene the message of the NEC. They have mandated us to apologise to the nation on their behalf for the team’s failure to qualify for the Afcon.
“Unfortunately we did not qualify and we know it has emotionally affected the country.”
Ntseki, who was appointed in 2019, is leaving the national team together with his assistants.
A new techinical team is expected to be announced before the start of the World Cup Qualifiers in June.

He also bemoaned the lack of political tolerance in the country.
Zambia national team coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević thinks he could have taken Zambia to the 2021 Afcon if he had started the qualifying campaign with the team.
The Serbian was appointed the coach of Chipolopolo in March last year after the side had played two games in the Afcon qualifiers.
The team was on the bottom of the group with no points and he managed to win two matches plus a draw in the remaining rounds of the campaign.

Added sugars are anything that’s added to food to make it taste sweet, and this includes natural sugars like honey and maple syrup. “Even though they may be more wholesome than table sugar, it’s still contributing more calories but not much in the way of vitamins and minerals,” says Jessica Cording, RD, a health coach in New York City and author of The Little Book of Game Changers.
Sugar is sneaky and can hide under 61 different names, according to the University of California in San Francisco. Despite your best efforts to make healthy food choices, you could be getting more sugar than you bargained for.
Negative Effects of Sugar on the Body
Per Harvard Health Publishing, when we eat sugar, most of it gets broken down and absorbed in the small intestine.
Specialized enzymes attack larger molecules and convert them into three simpler sugars: glucose, galactose, and fructose. The liver and muscles store some of the glucose as glycogen, a molecule that can be turned back into glucose when your body needs it.
When glucose enters the bloodstream, however, levels of blood glucose rise. In response, the pancreas secretes insulin to help glucose get where it needs to go in your body.
If you’re consuming large amounts of added sugar, the cells can become resistant to insulin over time — a risk factor for systemic inflammation, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic conditions.
According to a study published in November 2016 in the journal Nutrients, consuming too much added sugar has also been linked to weight gain and obesity, risk factors for heart disease, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and cancer.

On March 27, 2021, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, while addressing the Zanu PF Central Committee meeting urged war veterans to rally behind the ruling party, Zanu PF and campaign for the party in the upcoming 2023 elections.
The President’s call to the war veterans raises fears of a violent election especially given the fact that war veterans aligned to the ruling party have a well known record and history of violence against opposition supporters.
War veterans are on record pledging to go to war should Zanu PF lose in elections and this has largely been the basis of their violence and terror against opposition supporters.
During the bloody 2008 election re-run, war veterans aligned to Zanu PF were among the perpetrators of the violence that led to the death of more than 200 opposition supporters.
It is in light of this background that Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition implores the war veterans to ensure peace and tolerance in their involvement in the country’s political processes.
The huge sense of entitlement on the part of the war veterans (which has also been their basis for political violence) is unacceptable in a democratic society.
As Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition, we hope the President’s call for war veterans to mobilise and campaign for Zanu PF does not translate into reactivation of the ruling party’s violence machinery.
On another note, Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition remains deeply concerned over the continued arbitrary arrests and incarceration of civic society and opposition activists as part of efforts by the ruling party to silence dissent.
The continued arrests, which have been condemned by some sections of the international community, have put a huge dent on the country’s image and consequently, continue to work against efforts at re-engaging the international community.
As Crisis Coalition, we reiterate that respect for democratic principles and upholding citizens’ fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution should form the basis for meaningful re-engagement with the international community.

According to Child Registry, In Africa, 52 million vulnerable children require urgent assistance in various forms.

Duddridge dencounced the detention and harassment of perceived government opponents in Zimbabwe.

The three-year insurgency in Cabo Delgado province has to date killed more than 2,600 people and displaced an estimated 670,000, according to the UN. These attacks are especially directed at disrupting investment in oil and gas projects in Mozambique and terrorizing the local population. The attack on Palma was specifically aimed at undermining the $23bn game changing Mozambique LNG project led by Total.
As the largest Foreign Direct Investment on the African continent, the Mozambique LNG project positions Mozambique to become the third largest gas exporter globally by 2045. It is expected to double Mozambique’s GDP by 2035, underscoring the transformational impact of this project on the country, it’s citizens and neighboring states. Tinashe Sambiri|The nine Chivi North MDC Alliance Youth Assembly members have been granted RTGS $ 2000 bail each by Masvingo High Court Judge Justice Wamambo.
The nine were arrested two weeks ago and charged with participating in a gathering with intent to promote public violence, breach of peace or bigotry.
According to court papers seen by ZimEye.com, the nine have been ordered to stay at their given residential addresses and they should report at CID Mashava once every week.
They have also been ordered not to interfere with State witnesses.
In a statement MDC Alliance Masvingo denounced relentless persecution of its members by the Zanu PF regime.
“The nine are innocent, the whole thing is meant to disrupt our programmes,” MDC Alliance Masvingo said in a brief statement.

A 15-year-old boy in Zimbabwe escaped from police custody, broke into an armoury and stole two pistols. The teenager had been arrested in Gweru for alleged unlawful entry and theft, and was being held at a police station in the city.
He allegedly sneaked out of a holding room and broke into the armoury through the ceiling before making off with two pistols and three cellphones belonging to officers at the station.
Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed: “Yes, we are investigating that case and will avail more details (on Wednesday).”
A police source said, “On Monday, Constable Gwatirera intended to hand over duties to the morning shift officers and discovered that (the teenager) was missing. He advised the duty commander and a search was launched.”
Another added: “During the search, Constable Gwatirera noticed that his cellphone, which was on a charger in the records office, was missing.”
The 15-year-old allegedly went to a house in Kopje where he pointed a pistol at Gugulethu Mpofu. Mpofu persuaded him to hand over the firearm to police and the two went to Gweru Central Police Station.
“Upon arrival at Gweru Central, police recovered the pistols and three cellphones. The teenager was subsequently arrested.”

Police have arrested Denford Nyamande (35) in connection with the gruesome murder of his 87-year-old father Felix Chiodza and his 89-year-old aunt Angela Bhunu in Murewa last week.
Reports are that the suspect killed the siblings after accusing them of witchcraft.
Nyamande was cornered in his hideout in Seke.

By A C orrespondent- Harare magistrate Stanford Mambanje has issued a warrant of arrest for council’s director of works Isaiah Zvenyika Chawatama after he absconded court yesterday.
Chawatama was supposed to appear in court together with former town clerk Hosiah Chisango.
He is alleged to be on the run. Chawatama was summoned to court by members of the Special Anti-Corruption Unit, but was in default.
According to court summons dated March 18, 2021, the director of works is wanted over a property dispute with a Borrowdale resident.
The court appearance was expected to establish whether Chawatama was, indeed, on the run after the council boss previously denied the charge.

By A Correspondent- Police in Kariba have retrieved two bodies of suspected smugglers who drowned last week while trying to illegally cross into Zambia.
One of the bodies has been identified as that of Tichaona Kayungwa, while the other one is yet to be identified.
It is alleged that the banana boat they were using capsized after being hit by a strong wave, leading to their drowning while their other two unidentified accomplices, who were in the same boat managed to swim back to the shore.
Officer commanding police in Kariba district, Superintendent Saul Mhanqwa confirmed the incident yesterday.
“We received a report on March 25, 2021 to the effect that there were four male adult Zimbabwean nationals who attempted to cross into Zambia using an illegal crossing point at Nyamasowa area in Lower Zambezi,” he said.

“These four adults hired a boat owned by a Zambian and when they were in the middle of the (Zambezi) river, the wave hit them and the boat capsized.
“Two of these male adults managed to swim back into Zimbabwe, but the other two were taken away by the waves and they drowned.”
He added: “When the body of Kayungwa was retrieved from the water, it was observed that it was in an advanced state of decomposition. However, the relatives managed to identify the body. The body is suspected to have been bitten by crocodiles because the police observed that it had a missing right arm and leg. The groin and forehead had injuries suspected to have been caused by knocks on the rocks.”

By A Correspondent- One of the man accused of defrauding Bindura residents of over US$26k and who is out on bail has torched a social media storm after a video where he is bragging about his release started circulating on social media.
In the above video, the accused man is recorded saying only rape and murder are punishable offences while those who commit other offences including fraud go unpunished because everyone including members of the judiciary love stealing.
The development comes after the man was arrested last week together with two other fraudsters who perpetrated a series of cons on Bindura residents and netted US$26,100.
The three are alleged to have defrauded people by creating fake proof of payment messages and sending them to people who would then give them United States Dollars thinking that they had received RTGS,
The three fraudsters have been identified as Collen Chairuka (36), Tatenda Brenda Pangidzwa (34) and Malvern Chiyangwa (35). The trio came to the attention of the police after they defrauded various people of US$26,100 in just five days.
Following numerous complaints against the fraudsters, the police in Bindura decided to set a trap. Undercover police officers arrested the suspects when they attempted to defraud them using the same modus operandi.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of Collen Chairuka (36), Tatenda Brenda Pangidzwa (34) and Malven Chiyangwa (35) in connection with cases of fraud which occurred in and around Bindura from 10 February 2021 to 14 February 2021.
Police received information to the effect that the suspects were defrauding members of the public by sending them fake WhatsApp confirmation messages of RTGS money transfers after receiving United States Dollars. A trap was set by Police who managed to arrest the suspects.
First complainant lost USD 4 100.00 after receiving text message of ZWL 538 000.00 payment to Innscor.
Second complainant lost USD 10 000.00 after a fake message of ZWL 1 230 000. 00 for alleged Netone airtime. He realised this after Netone Mt Darwin dismissed the alleged payment.
Third complainant lost USD 12 000. 00 for alleged payment to ZIMRA for vehicle importation duty clearance.

By A Correspondent- Three Harare police officers have been implicated in a spate of robberies which occurred in Nyanga where they allegedly robbed and assaulted several people involved in timber business.
An internal police memorandum dated March 27 addressed to Officer Commanding Manicaland province, Commissioner Wiklef Makamache, identified the police officers as Constable Tatenda Ndlovu, Constable Listen Sibanda stationed at ZRP Harare Central Business Centre Traffic and Constable Tariro Rangarirai of Harare Central Police Station.
It further stated that the robberies occurred at Claremont Orchards in Nyanga and involved the three police officers, and three other accomplices, Forget Madzitire and Nhamo Nyamutowa, who are into the business of selling timber, and Never Nyarumba who is unemployed.
Allegations are that the six were targeting people in the timber business.
“The background of the matter is that complainant one, three and four and accused number four were all in partnership with a timber business as from the first week of March. On March 23, the four proceeded to Harare with processed timber for sale,” the memo read.
“On March 26 after selling their timber and sharing proceeds, complainants one and three returned to Nyanga, leaving the four accused in Harare.
“On March 27, 2021 at around midnight, the accused persons drove to Nyanga using a silver ML MercedesBenz and proceeded to complainant one, Slyvester Makandwa and to the residence of Sharon Makandwa (husband and wife). The accused persons knocked at the dining door.”
The complainant woke up and opened the door and the accused demanded money from them.
They were allegedly given US$300, and the accused started assaulting the complainant with open hands and a baton until he went to the bedroom and collected another US$850.
The accused allegedly went to several other victims’ homes, where they beat up their victims and demanded money.
The total amount they collected during the robberies was US$1 245.-Newsday
By A Correspondent- Teachers at various schools countrywide are reportedly reporting for duty only to mark the pupils’ attendance registers, but are not conducting lessons as they continue piling pressure for better working conditions.
Teachers’ unions yesterday told NewsDay that the educators had resolved to sit-in after government refused to restore their salaries to the pre-October 2018 levels when they earned between US$520 and US$550.
Amalgamated Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe president Obert Masaraure confirmed the alleged sit-in.
“We don’t want to pre-empt anything. This is what we said before the schools opened that the employer has to capacitate teachers so that they go back to work. However, the employer is reluctant to solve our problem and is treating individuals with coercion and intimidation. What is coming up is that teachers have decided to just log in and not work until they are capacitated,” he said.
Progressive Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe secretary-general Raymond said: “The truth of the matter is that teachers are incapacitated. I urge the government to look into their plight and capacitate them so that they perform their duties in class.”
But Primary and Secondary Education ministry spokesperson Taungana Ndoro dismissed the claim.
“Teachers are engaged and are teaching in our schools. Learning is ongoing, we can’t complain. We are grateful for their service and commitment while their grievances are being looked into,” Ndoro said.
He added that government was confident that this time around they will not experience a surge in COVID-19 cases.
“We have confidence in the vaccinations and that the set standards of procedures would ensure that the pandemic remains at a minimum in schools,” Ndoro said during vaccination of Harare-based teachers at Wilkins Hospital.
He said the vaccination of teachers would nip the coronavirus in the bud, while deter-ring the onset of a third wave of COVID-19.
“We are confident that we will not have a surge in cases of COVID-19 in our schools this time because of the vaccinations as well as the protocols in place.”
Last term, there was chaos in schools as many students tested positive to COVID-19 prompting some of the schools to close early for fear of an escalation of the crisis. Last week, seven pupils at Prince Edward High School in Harare tested positive to the virus.-newsday
By Jane Mlambo| The Police have confirmed arresting four touts who were filmed physically manhandling a woman at Beitbridge’s Dulibadzimu bus terminus.
According to ZRP, the four who appeared on a video which went viral last week will appear in court today.
The police urged the public to report all incidents of harassment by touts at bus termini.
“The ZRP has arrested the four touts who were involved in the physical manhandling & harassment of a woman in a video which went viral recently. The incident occurred at Dulibadzimu Rank, Beitbridge. The touts will appear in court today.
“The ZRP applauds all Zimbabweans for the co-operation & concern over the conduct of the touts. The public is urged to report all incidents of harassment by touts taking note of the location, date, time & the name of the bus company involved. #notouting& harassment of women,” the police said.
Speaking on the incident last week, Women Affairs minister Dr Sithembiso Nyoni said public spaces must be safe for all while pushing for the removal of touts from all bus termini.
“Eventually, we want to witness the removal of touts from all bus termini. Public spaces must be safe for all and may it be known that the law enforcing agents shall not deal with this lightly,” she said.
By A Correspondent- Health experts yesterday said the public should be wary of other killer diseases that might affect them at a time when most resources are being directed towards fighting the COVID-19 pandemic which has killed more than 1 500 people in the country.
Medical and Dental Private Practitioners of Zimbabwe Association president Johannes Marisa said people were now concentrating on COVID-19 only and forgetting other diseases that are a threat to human life such as malaria, typhoid, diarrhoea, diabetes and others.
He said there were high chances of disasters that might be caused by malaria and other diseases.
“If we continue to be obsessed with COVID-19 alone, we might be caught unawares because we are witnessing a lot of cases of malaria and typhoid and these also present almost the same symptoms as COVID-19. Let’s open our eyes,” Marisa said.
“Let us not also forget the dangers of hypertension and it’s one disease that’s taking a lot of people and we do not want to attribute all deaths to COVID-19,” he said.
Last year, malaria cases were on the increase, with 300 to 400 deaths recorded in Zimbabwe. Globally, it is estimated that 410 000 people lost their lives, with 85% of the cases being in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Globally, about 100 000 people succumb to typhoid while an estimated eight million people lose their lives to hypertension per year.
“That number per year on a global scale points to a calamity. We are also experiencing large numbers of malaria without even the history of travelling outside the country, and so people should be very careful,” Marisa said.
Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights secretary Norman Matara said there was need for the public to continue protecting themselves against killer diseases that may not be infectious, but chronic in nature.
“We should not forget about the other diseases that are killing people because they are afraid to go to the hospital for fear of contracting COVID-19. People have to continue to go for regular check-ups, especially for tuberculosis, continue screening processes for malaria and hypertension. Preventive measures should also be taken lest we forget that there were other diseases that came way before COVID-19,” Matara said.
Zimbabwe Senior Hospital Doctors Association president Shingai Nyaguse said: “As much as we need COVID-19 responses, there is a need for intervention in other areas as well such as tuberculosis, cancer and hypertension that haven’t gone away.-Newsday
By A Correspondent- Operations at the Beitbridge Border Post were disrupted yesterday when police and army swooped on 31 shipping agents, accusing them of being undesired elements in a protected area.
Shipping agents are regarded by law as essential service providers due to their handling of haulage vehicles with imported and exported goods.
Among the 31 shipping agents held were two haulage truck drivers.
National police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said he was still verifying the issue with the officers on the ground.
“I am still verifying about the issue with troops on the ground,” Nyathi said.
The arrest resulted in trucks meant to depart from the border post being grounded and blocking the on-going construction work.
Chairperson of the Transporters Association in Beitbridge, Osbert Shumba said the arrests were unlawful, adding that they disrupted flow of traffic, leading to congestion.
“Government has recognised us as essential services. We will not pay fines. We are ready to go to court,” Shumba said.
Early this year, government enacted a law recognising clearing agents and allied businesses as essential service providers.
“We showed them identity cards, but they said they cannot read,” one shipping agent told NewsDay.

By A Correspondent- As his ex girlfriend. Susan Mutami’s physical whereabouts remained a mystery 7 months later, Norton legislator Temba Mliswa (independent) yesterday applied for referral of his case where he is charged of breaching COVID-19 regulations to the Constitutional Court (ConCourt).
Mliswa was last month accused of violating COVID-19 regulations when he held a Press conference at his Borrowdale residence last month.
He now wants the ConCourt to make a ruling on whether his arrest was lawful since the police stormed his house without a warrant of arrest.
Before the ConCourt application, Mliswa had challenged his arrest and detention which was dismissed by Harare magistrate Tafadzwa Miti, who ruled that his residence was not a public place as stipulated by COVID-19 regulations.
Mliswa had argued that he was arrested for addressing journalists who are classified as essential service workers.
The State, however, argued that he was not conducting Parliament business, resulting in his application being dismissed by Miti.
Mliswa, in the application, raised questions, including why he was the only person who was arrested at the Press conference.
“Further take notice that the following are the questions whose referral applicant seeks: Whether the singling out for arrest and prosecution of the applicant from among 23 persons allegedly gathered at the applicant’s residence on the day in question amounts to discrimination and offends against section 56(1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe,” part of his application read.- Newsday/Additional reporting
By A Correspondent- A Nkayi traditional leader Chief Dakamela has been taken to the magistrates court by one of his subjects after he ordered that he be caned in public for assault.
Tumelo Maphala was ordered to perform community service, receive 11 strokes and pay three goats as punishment for assaulting a fellow villager, Phathisani Ncube, the chiefs’ nephew.
The assault took place at Dakamela shopping centre in January this year.
Following the incident, Maphala was summoned to the chief ‘s court on February 4 where he was charged with assault.
“I was convicted of the criminal charges and sentenced to pay three goats and further undergo three strokes with a sjambok. The corporal punishment was immediately carried out on me in my nude state,” Maphala said in his founding affidavit.
Maphala was re-summoned to Chief Dakamela’s court on February 9 for the same offence, tried, convicted and sentenced to pay an additional goat and eight strokes with a sjambok plus 10 hours community service performed at the chief ‘s homestead.
“Of the total sentence from the two trials involving one crime, I have since paid three goats but received all the eleven strokes with a sjambok. The corporal punishment was administered in public before all, in my nude state. I have also performed the community service,” he said.
After receiving advice that the chief had no jurisdiction to preside over criminal matters, Maphala immediately engaged Abammeli Human Rights Lawyers and took the matter to the magistrates’ court challenging the traditional court’s ruling.
Chief Dakamela and one Ncube were cited as respondents.

This Christian Commemoration ends on 5′ April when our Nation celebrates Easter Monday. In keeping with Christian practices, Zimbabweans flock to different places of worships, with some visiting holy shrines. Still others may travel beyond our borders for the same purpose. The risk of disease transmission during the period is thus predictably high. To safeguard our Nation, we need to take some additional measures to avoid a 3′ wave of the pandemic which is already attacking some Nations of the World. For the duration of the Easter Holidays:
1. Travellers coming into the country from neighbouring States must undergo valid Covid-19 PCR tests not more than 48 hours from time of their departure for Zimbabwe. Travellers without aforesaid valid test results clearing them for safe travel will be quarantined for 10 days at designated hotels, and at their own cost.
2. School learners who are in boarding schools will not be permitted to travel back home. Equally, no parents will travel to concerned schools for purposes of visits.
Bars and night clubs will remain closed during the Easter Holidays.
All gatherings, including church services, funerals and weddings will remain limited to not more than 50 people.
Wearing of masks and social distancing will be strictly adhered to and enforced.
People from different localities are encouraged to come forward to designated centres for vaccination so that our Nation builds towards herd immunity.
The general public is encouraged to defer unnecessary travel outside localities of residence.
As already stated, coming into Zimbabwe without a valid PCR negative certificate will require quarantining in a hotel for 10 days at own cost. Those with valid PCR negative certificates will self-quarantine at home or in a hotel for 10 days from day of arrival into the country.
Tourists who volunteer to be vaccinated can access vaccination services available in our country at their own cost.

The Hell Commander’s Lamborghini which burst into flames last night

Ms. Shally confirmed that her boyfriend, the businessman Trevor ‘Hell Commander’ Mbizvo was involved in “a terrible accident” last night while driving a Lamborghini Huracan.
One person was reported dead at the scene. Mbizvo’s friend Eddy whose handle is @blacklistedd_ the Pilot had been in the Lamborghini traveling with the man.

Ms Shally who recently received a Range Rover from Mbizvo as an apology after he cheated on her, posted on her portal saying, “It’s been a walk filled with challenges, the news is true my love @the_hell_commander had a terrible accident last night when he was driving the Lamborghini hurricane, one very precious life was lost and the hell commander is in hospital suffering from a few injuries.”
She also added saying: “A lot has been happening lately but we would appreciate your support and also allow us to mourn our close friend we lost.
“Please keep us in your prayers.”
Ms Shally has been living in South Africa since her client, Ginimbi’s death at the end of 2020. It was at that time speculated that she had been kicked out of the Domboshava mansion by Ginimbi’s ex-wife Zodwa Mkandla.

Several victims of these robberies said that these cases were rife at Western Union Samora Machel and Avondale outlets.
These thieves are reported to be following unsuspecting public who would have withdrawn money from Western Union and rob them in car parking bays.

“The ZRP is investigating a suspected hit and run road traffic accident in which a yet to be identified motorist struck and killed Mabuko Melusi (26) and an unidentified male adult along Lomagundi Road near Greencroft Shopping Centre, Harare on March 30, between midnight and 6am. The law will certainly take its course on such errant motorists,” he said.
Meanwhile, two people died on the spot while two others were injured when a motorist driving a Toyota Allion rammed into a Honda CRV which was parked in Kuwadzana on Sunday.

The accusations were levelled against the Harare lawyer who recently defected to Zanu PF by Professor Jonathan Moyo using his Twitter account.
Moyo said Gutu was invited by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to join Zanu PF so that he (Mnangagwa) honours him for aiding the 1980s Gukurahindi massacres.

CHURCHES will not hold conferences usually held during the Easter period but will resort to virtual meetings with only a limited number of congregants gathering on Sunday.
Church leaders yesterday said Zimbabweans should not lose hope even in the face of Covid-19 challenges as the Easter holiday starts on Friday.
They said as opposed to mass gatherings and conferences, they will be holding virtual Easter gatherings with a limited number of congregants.
The church leaders said the church will observe Covid-19 regulations to prevent the spread of infections.
They said Easter is commemorated in remembrance of Jesus’ life hence Christians and citizens alike should remain steadfast as every hardship they are facing will come to an end.
Roman Catholic Church (Archdiocese of Bulawayo) Archbishop Alex Thomas said the church is already in the mood for Easter commemorations after marking Palm Sunday.
He said due to Covid-19, the church will not hold mass gatherings.
“We are restricting our numbers to 50 people as we follow the Covid-19 protocols laid down by Government. So, we have asked our people to come in small groups. This year’s Easter comes in the background of Covid-19 challenges. What we need is new hope and trust in the Lord so that we can overcome the pandemic and return to normal life,” he said.
“The resurrection of Jesus is about new life so we want to have a new life after a year of struggle. The past year has been challenging as people have been constrained on worshiping and they have been missing the fellowship. It has also been hard for the church financially.
Our life is about hope, Jesus died and he rose again. He conquered death so we also have to conquer every challenge we have. It can be illnesses; it can be financial challenges and social problems; we have to conquer it with the power of God and move forward.”
Harvest House International Church Bishop Collins Nyathi said they will hold a physical conference with limited numbers of people. Bishop Nyathi said since the outbreak of Covid-19, the church has been preaching the message of hope.
“The way forward for us is virtual, that is how we are going to conduct our sermons. But on Sunday that is when we are going to have physical attendance but also limiting our numbers to 50 people,” said Bishop Nyathi.
“For over a year, our message has been to encourage people that it shall come to pass. And this also shall come to pass. However, Easter is a special day. We remember the cross and the blood. We don’t want to dilute Easter because it speaks of the cross and the blood of Jesus.

The demotion of ZANU PF stalwart and subsequent dismissal of Victor Matemadanda as the ZANU PF Political Commissar is a publicity stunt and face-saving Stunt by ZANU PF for his Sunday exposé in Mashonaland East.
Matemadanda exposed Zanu PF’s deliberate and well coordinated plot to decimate the MDC Alliance in a brazen attempt to further subvert the people’s will and create a one party state.
Matemadanda as the Party’s Political Commissar is well versed on his party’s covert and overt plans to decimate their only threat and genuine opposition hence his remarks at the Mashonaland East PCC meeting.
We view Matemadanda’s remarks as not only confirming ZANU PF’s harsh treatment of real opposition parties who demand for checks and balances from it but also as a violation of the national Constitution and a threat to democracy.

The Zvimba North MDC Alliance trio of Provincial Deputy Secretary leader Chinanzvavana, Zvimba North Deputy Chairperson Ldr Daniel Hove and Organising Secretary Ldr Aiden Wairesi who were arrested on Saturday in Raffingora in Zvimba North after resisting an attempt by plain clothes to barge uninvited into the internal Party Building Directorate meeting.
The alert MDC Alliance members resisted this unlawful act resulting in a scuffle where some of our members were injured and the arrest of the 3.
The 3 were granted $10000 bail, ordered to stay at their given addresses,not to interfere with state witnesses and to report every Monday and Friday between 0600hrs and 1800hrs.
The matter has been remanded to 14 April 2021 for routine remand.
It is sad to note that the “law” chooses to turn a blind eye when ZANU PF convene meetings attended by thousands of people but suddenly become alive when the MDC Alliance convenes internal Executive meetings.

Consider a mouthwash. Get advise from a dentist on which mouthwash to use. However chlorhexidine containing mouthwash are advised as it has antibacterial effects.
Limit sugary foods and starches. These promote bacterial growth causing cavities. Fibre rich fruits and vegetables are advised.
Drink water instead of sugary drinks. Like sugary food they also promote bacterial growth that causes cavities.
Tips for kids
Babies and toddlers should not go to bed with bottles and sippy cups.
Brush baby teeth as soon as they come out with soft baby toothbrush and tiny amounts of fluoride.

Multi-award-winning Zim Hip Hop artist, Ti Gonzi, born Tinashe Gonzara, has been dragged to court after he reportedly assaulted his former wife.
The rapper was not asked to plead when he appeared in court over the weekend.
His estranged wife Esther Tendere took to the witness stand and told the court that she wanted to withdraw the matter before plea.
Tendere said her former husband is the one who is providing for the upkeep of their four-year-old son and has a head injury that needs constant check-ups and he has since apologised.

By A Correspondent- Hundreds of fortune seekers in Chinhoyi have lost thousands of their hard earned United States dollars to a pyramid scheme which collapsed recently.
According to the state media the alleged founder of the scheme only identified as Ms Museka, who also owns Melting Pot College in the Central Business District, could not be reached for comment.
Police had not yet been called in by today, but the affected people claimed that Ms Museka proposed to reimburse them their money.
Chinhoyi Vendors Association’s Calvin Musesengwe confirmed that some vendors were affected by the collapse of the scheme. They were lured through various social media platforms, particularly WhatsApp and Facebook.
Members paid a minimum joining fee of US$20 with hopes of reaping at least US$280 when they bring in more members who join with US$20 or more.
Mashonaland West provincial police spokesperson Inspector Margaret Chitove warned the public against such schemes.

Responding to Zimeye.com’s calls Porusingazi said he did not care about media and threatened this publication with unspecified action.

By A Correspondent- The government has directed that boarding students will not be allowed to travel to their homes during the upcoming Easter holidays.
The same restrictions apply to students who had travelled to urban or rural areas but are not boarders.
Schools reopened on 15 March for examination and classes and on 22 March for the rest of the grades and this resulted in the shortened school calendar.
Classes will take a break during the Easter holiday which starts on Friday, 2 April 2021 (Good Friday) and resume next week.
The travel restrictions are meant to curb the spread of the coronavirus in line with WHO guidelines.
Addressing a post-cabinet media briefing this Tuesday, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa said:
Cabinet further agreed that boarding school students should not travel to their homes for the Easter holidays as part of the strategy to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The learners should stay at their respective schools.
Minister Mutsvangwa also said President Emmerson Mnangagwa will make the necessary pronouncements to guide the nation during the Easter and Independence holidays
ADDITIONAL MEASURES AGAINST THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 DISEASE DURING EASTER HOLIDAYS Zimbabweans will be celebrating Easter Holidays from this Friday, rd April 2021. This Christian Commemoration ends on 5′ April when our Nation celebrates Easter Monday. In keeping with Christian practices, Zimbabweans flock to different places of worships, with some visiting holy shrines. Still others may travel beyond our borders for the same purpose. The risk of disease transmission during the period is thus predictably high. To safeguard our Nation, we need to take some additional measures to avoid a 3′ wave of the pandemic which is already attacking some Nations of the World. For the duration of the Easter Holidays:
1. Travellers coming into the country from neighbouring States must undergo valid Covid-19 PCR tests not more than 48 hours from time of their departure for Zimbabwe. Travellers without aforesaid valid test results clearing them for safe travel will be quarantined for 10 days at designated hotels, and at their own cost.
2. School learners who are in boarding schools will not be permitted to travel back home. Equally, no parents will travel to concerned schools for purposes of visits.
Bars and night clubs will remain closed during the Easter Holidays.
All gatherings, including church services, funerals and weddings will remain limited to not more than 50 people.
Wearing of masks and social distancing will be strictly adhered to and enforced.
People from different localities are encouraged to come forward to designated centres for vaccination so that our Nation builds towards herd immunity.
The general public is encouraged to defer unnecessary travel outside localities of residence.
As already stated, coming into Zimbabwe without a valid PCR negative certificate will require quarantining in a hotel for 10 days at own cost. Those with valid PCR negative certificates will self-quarantine at home or in a hotel for 10 days from day of arrival into the country.
Tourists who volunteer to be vaccinated can access vaccination services available in our country at their own cost.
In November 2017 Zapu Harare provincial secretary-general Elphacy Dube said the province was throwing its weight behind Khaya Moyo. Zapu Harare province jumped the gun and suggested SK Moyo without considering his rank within ZAPU structures.
Kembo Mohadi’s resignation has rekindled debate on SK Moyo’s eligibility for the post of Vice President.
SK Moyo came close to becoming Vice President in 2014. SK Moyo was written off the Vice Presidency Post by Zanu-PF Politburo member Cde Naison Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu who described the then ZANU PF national chairman Cde Simon Khaya Moyo as too junior to assume the post of Vice President, describing him as a “schoolboy who takes minutes”.
Cde Ndlovu, who was one of the ex-Zapu leaders who had his signature appended to the Unity Accord. Ndlovu refused to support SK Moyo and declared support for Cde Phelekezela Mphoko. Nothing has changed, SK Moyo is still too junior to be the Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe.
SK Moyo cannot claim to be the most senior ZAPU official he can’t compare himself to people who went into the front lines to fight for the liberation of Zimbabwe.
SK Moyo was at school, fighting from the classroom, his main contribution to the liberation struggle was praying and telling friends in class that ‘my friends are fighting, I will join them in future.
He can never be compared with a person who was on the field, someone who will tell you Zpra (the Zapu military wing) was formed in such a year and gives you the command hierarchy.
Moyo was ditched for Phelekezela Mphoko because he is too junior, he was also dropped ahead of Kembo Mohadi because he is too junior to be a vice president.
SK Moyo held no rank or title in ZPRA, neither did he hold any portfolio in ZAPU, he was merely a briefcase holder, an aide de camp. Jabulani Sibanda is by far too senior to SK Moyo and Jabulani Sibanda would deserve to be on the list if SK Moyo is being considered for the post.
Obert Mpofu joined ZPRA 6 years before SK Moyo and if we are to go by the year of joining political movements then SK Moyo is equally too junior to Obert Mpofu. While Obert Mpofu crossed the floor, he is still a ZPRA cadre, trained and groomed by ZPRA, he fought for Zimbabwe under a ZPRA banner and no technicality can take that away from Obert Mpofu.
For the record, it is a fact that the Unity Accord requires that the two Vice Presidents and Second Secretaries of Zanu-PF be appointed by the President and First Secretary of the party.
It is unfortunate that people like SK Moyo and others are canvassing for the post through Machavellian tactics.
The Unity Accord did not provide for, or foresee, a contest as part of the appointment of the party’s two Vice Presidents, not least because a contest by definition is the opposite of unity in that it tends to be divisive and invariably leads to competing centres of power which undermine unity.
President ED Mnangagwa will appoint the right candidate at the right time after consultation with the right people and platforms.
By James Gwati- Malawi nationals who are resident in the country and have Zimbabwean citizenship have received with joy the news that their country would now allow them to enjoy both Zimbabwean citizenship and that of their home country.
CFMNews, reports that the immigration authorities are almost done with regulations that are aimed at governing the implementation of the dual citizenship law.
Malawians have been eagerly waiting for the law to become operational, three (3) years after it was passed by Parliament, the online news platform said.
When implemented, the law would permit Malawians to retain their citizenship, even after acquiring foreign citizenships.
The online news network said deputy spokesperson at the Immigration Department Wellington Chiponde, acknowledged that they are currently making final touches on the regulatory framework for the implementation of the law.
Zimbabwe shall get rid of politics of coercion, MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has said.
Chamisa was responding to a declaration by a Zanu-PF apologist that the opposition will never rule Zimbabwe.
“A New Zimbabwe shall get rid of politics of coercion. Yes, the opposition haisi kuzotonga Zimbabwe but will lead Zimbabwe to the Promised Land. We shall lead, not rule Zimbabwe. Citizens have a right to associate with any party of their choice and gold is for all Zimbabweans, not Zanu-PF alone. Zanu-PF is not Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe is not Zanu-PF,” Chamisa wrote on Twitter.
He also bemoaned the lack of political tolerance in the country.

The six orphans, four girls and two boys are staying at Stand no 6931 Phase 3 Chikanga township in Mutare, which they inherited from their late father, Mr Phineas Muchafuruka.

By A Correspondent- Police have arrested Denforn Nyamande (35) in connection with the double murder of Angella Bhunu (89) and Felix Taonana Chiodza (87).
He was found at his hideout at Mutsvairo Village under Chief Seke where he had sought refuge following the gruesome murders.
The bodies of Bhunu, of Chidziva Village, and Chiodza of Marumisa Village under Chief Mangwende, Murewa were found in different places with deep cuts all over their bodies.
Nyamande, who is Bhunu’s son, is suspected to have murdered the two elderly siblings after accusing the two of practising witchcraft.
An axe was found beside Bhunu’s body, while a hoe was found next to that of Chiodza. Police said in a statement:

By A Correspondent- South Africa has with immediate effect extended the validity period of legally issued visas which expired during the lockdown period to June 30 and July 31, for short-term and long-term visas.
Zimbabweans make a significant chunk of South African Visitors
In a statement, the neighbouring country’s Home Affairs Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi said the validity of longer-term temporary visas (issued for three months to three years) was also extended until July 31.
The life span of short-term visas issued for a period not longer than 90 days, such as a tourist visa has been extended to June 30. Minister Motsoaledi said the new order extends the initial validity period extension of March 31.
“This means that visas that were lawfully issued and expired during the period of the lockdown are deemed to be valid until the end of June 2021 and 31 July 2021,” he said
“Holders of such visas are permitted to remain in the country under the conditions of their visas until the expiry of their applicable extension.”
Minister Motsoaledi said those wishing to be repatriated to their countries within the said period can depart without being declared undesirable persons. Minister Motsoaledi said the extension does not apply to people who entered South Africa after March 15.
“The normal validity period of visas of people admitted into the country from 15 March applies,” he said.
By A Correspondent- Norton legislator, Temba Peter Mliswa today told the court that he informed the police in writing about the press conference held at his Borrowdale residence in Harare prior to the day of the event.
Mliswa also told the court that the police approved the gathering and assigned two officers from Borrowdale Police Station, who attended the press conference on the day in question.
He also denied calling journalists to his residence saying they were called by the Media Centre, which organised the press conference.
Mliswa, who is being represented by lawyer Mr Musindo Hungwe, said this when he took to the witness stand giving oral evidence during his application for the matter to the Constitutional Court.
He is being charged with violating the Covid-19 lockdown regulations.
“There were two police officers from Borrowdale Police Station.
“We had informed the police that the Media Centre had decided to conduct the conference at my place where there was space. Because of Covid-19, they wanted somewhere with space.
“We notified the police in writing and they approved and gave us two police officers.
“The police were in attendance on the day,” he said.
The application was heard before Harare magistrate Mrs Tafadzwa Miti.
By A Correspondent- A drinking spree in Epworth, Harare, on Friday turned nasty when an irate 59-year-old man allegedly axed a colleague three times on the head for making fun of his vehicle.
Lazarus Chihota, who has since been charged with attempted murder over the attack, was not asked to plead when he appeared in court at the weekend.
Allegations are that on March 26, the two were drinking at a bar at Glenwood Shopping Centre in Epworth when the complainant made fun of Chihota’s old Mazda B1600 truck.
Chihota took offence at the mockery and he allegedly went to his car and took out an axe that was behind the seat.
He allegedly charged towards the complainant and struck him three times on the head with the axe, inflicting deep cuts.
With the Coronavirus situation slowly being contained, Zimbabwe should soon be preparing for by-elections to fill in parliamentary and council vacancies created following the recall of some elected parliamentarians and councilors by the now led Douglas Mwonzora MDC-T following a disputed inquorate Extra-Ordinary Congress held in December.
Zanu PF, MDC-T, and the MDC-Alliance and any other parties interested in fielding candidates will have an opportunity to measure their popularity since the Supreme Court ruling. This will settle the question of who is the genuine opposition to a corrupt regime in Zimbabwe.
I am aware though that Douglas Mwonzora, leader of MDC-T, has already indicated that his party will contest the by-elections as MDC Alliance, claiming that the MDC-T is the leader of the electoral pact which created the MDC Alliance and that the agreement is still intact. He hasn’t thought well enough to notice that despite the fact that the original agreement said it was to last for five years, at least one of the partners, Transform Zimbabwe led by Jacob Ngaribvume, has disengaged, so there is no longer the electoral pact to talk about. What exists, instead, is a political party called the MDC Alliance that was formed post the death of Morgan Tsvangirai and that Party is led by Nelson Chamisa. Knowing Chamisa’s popularity, Douglas Mwonzora must be hoping to confuse the electorate to vote for his MDC-T disguised as the MDC-Alliance by error.
The MDC-T move is also meant to force the MDC Alliance to abandon its name. But Mwonzora will have enough memory to remember that we have had ballot boxes featuring Zanu PF and Zanu Ndonga before, and we have had ballot boxes featuring MDC-T and the MDC before, and we have had ballot boxes featuring MDC-T and MDC Alliance as late as 2018. So, what if the MDC Alliance Party decides to use the name MDC-Alliance Chamisa and retain the Symbol used in 2018 in the by-elections? To Douglas Mwonzora’s disadvantage, the electorate is displaying desperation in trying to run away from the name of the political party he is unconstitutionally leading following an inquorate Extra-Ordinary Congress held in December 2020 for the mere sake of confusing the electorate.
Douglas Mwonzora’s move to want to use the MDC Alliance name will backfire as the angry electorate will aim to punish him and Zanu PF which he has developed so much love and faith in of late in the forthcoming by-elections. It serves to fast track the demise of the outfit he leads, which is likely to be history after the 2023 elections. So, if Mwonzora and his friends insist on using the MDC Alliance until 2023 when they think the already expired MDC Alliance Agreement will expire, what name will they use in 2023? It shows they are sure that they won’t be in the game by 2023.
Mwonzora forgets that the MDC was formed to rescue oppressed Zimbabweans from Zanu PF oppression. One would be excused to have faith in Zanu PF is Zanu PF has changed, but Zanu PF remains as oppressive at it was at the time of the formation of the MDC, hence there is still a need for oppressed Zimbabweans to dislike Zanu PF for the situation they find themselves in. Yet Douglas Mwonzora publicly talks about his party’s unrestrained love and embrace for Zanu PF.
The only change in Zanu PF is that, even before Mugabe was overthrown in the November 2019 coup, the party has been reducing the rate at which it killed members of the MDC to give a false impression that it was no longer a violent party, yet Douglas Mwonzora knows very well that Zanu PF has increased it’s effective intimidation tactics. Douglas Mwonzora will have seen videos of Zanu PF officials telling villagers that if they voted for the MDC they will be severely dealt with. Douglas Mwonzora will be aware that Zanu PF parliamentarians have blocked assistance meant for ordinary Zimbabwean because the assistance was being offered by suspected or known MDC Alliance officials. Douglas Mwonzora will know that ordinary Zimbabweans have been denied food and other forms of assistance post-Mugabe.
What has changed about Zanu PF is that it is now led by a man who sheds crocodile tears, while deep down he is more corrupt than the previous leader. Look at what is emerging now – the First Family being seen in the company of persons who have been corruptly been awarded tenders, in some cases in the First Family Home. The latest arrested contact of President Mnangagwa is obviously the person given the job of ‘Honorary Consul’ of Zimbabwe to Belarus, Alexandre Zingman. One would expect the leader of a genuine opposition party not to fall in love head over heels with a party with a leadership suspected to be corrupt the way Douglas Mwonzora has done.
People of Zimbabwe must never be distracted from the original intentions of the formation of the MDC which was and should remain to be the liberation of the country from corrupt and ruthless leadership. It may have taken long to achieve that, partly because there are some who joined the party even at its formation stage for personal gain. The struggle should never be about personal gain, and when leaders start to hero-worship oppressors, people will read between the lines, connect the dots and see for themselves the sincerity or otherwise of Douglas Mwonzora and his friends in MDC-T.
It would appear Douglas Mwonzora and his followers are going the same route of hero-worship which happened after independence when people hero-worshiped Mugabe and Zanu PF to the extent that we thought they were perfect. Some people never learn. There are so many high suspicious things that are happening and we have never heard Mwonzora and his followers raise their voices against those things. Word has it that he is scared of ruffling feathers with the hope that the system will protect him from the alleged abuse of taxpayers’ money when he arranged the withdrawal of funds given to the MDC-T as part of the Political Parties Finance Act allocation.
The people will prevail! The proof lies in the by-elections to be held soon, not only to replace the parliamentarians and councillors who have been illegitimately been recalled but even a few who have passed on – may their souls rest in peace.
City of Masvingo signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Environmental Management Agency
By Ashleigh Jinjika Friday the 26th of March 2021 witnessed Masvingo City Council signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Environmental Management Agency for the development of harmonious and cooperative relations with the purpose of ensuring the protection and cleanliness of the environment within the city as well as enforcement of all environmental laws and regulations within Masvingo City Council’s jurisdiction.
The partnership seeks to ensure that Masvingo City transforms itself and becomes a centre of environmental excellence, establishing an Environmental Inspectorate Unit (EIU) manned by Environmental Management Inspectors (EMI) who will be charged with the duty to enforce environmental by-laws in Masvingo City Council’s area of jurisdiction.
The partnership includes reviewing of existing Council environmental by-laws and capacitation of the EIU.
True to its vision, ‘An Industrialised World-Class Metropolitan City by 2030’, the MOU reaffirms the Council’s commitment to keeping environments clean. The MOU is therefore aimed at improving the environmental law-enforcement framework for Masvingo City Council hence a committee comprised of Masvingo City Council, EMA, Ministry of Health and Child Care, Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, Forestry Commission, ZINWA, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) was formed to review and update existing Council by-laws.
This resulted in the production of the draft City of Masvingo Environment (Noise and Nuisance) By-laws. Over and above all this, the MoU saw the creation of a unit made up of 35 members drawn from all the relevant departments of Council, and also EMA handing over 3 motorcycles to the City of Masvingo to carry out environmental inspections, licencing for environmental pollution and prosecuting where there are environmental offences.
Apart from the creation of the unit, the team was trained on national environmental law, carrying out environmental inspections, prosecution procedure and the draft by-law. The unit was also trained on how to conduct field inspections and prosecutions.
Present during the signing ceremony were District Development Coordinator’s Office, The Mayor, Cllr C Maboke, Deputy Mayor, Cllr W Mawende, Alderman S Maridza, Councillors, Acting Town Clerk, Eng E Mukaratirwa, Management, Croco Motors Manager, Mr Chawonza, EMA officials, members from the Health Department, Transport office, municipal police, procurement, audit, human resources as well as members of the media.
Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has accepted the blame for the team’s dismal ending to their AFCON 2021 qualifying campaign.

Sergio Aguero is set to leave Manchester City at end of season and the club has confirmed it will commission a statue of him at the Etihad.

When we finally appeared the State unsurprisingly failed to furnish us with a trial date, saying they were not ready. Of course they are not ready to do anything related to just application of the law.
They’re only ready to pile cases on our heads with no intention to proceed to trial.

Malawi joined Zimbabwe and Comoros to become the latest team from the COSAFA region to qualify for the Afcon 2021.
The Flames beat Uganda on Monday to mark their return to the tournament for the first time in a decade.
The Warriors of Zimbabwe joined Algeria as the qualified teams from Group H while Comoros, who became the first COSAFA team to book a place at the continental showpiece, made history when they secured their first ever ticket to the tournament.
Twenty four teams will be playing at the Afcon 2021 to be held in Cameroon in January next year.

The Zvimba North MDC Alliance trio of Provincial Deputy Secretary leader Chinanzvavana, Zvimba North Deputy Chairperson Ldr Daniel Hove and Organising Secretary Ldr Aiden Wairesi who were arrested on Saturday in Raffingora in Zvimba North after resisting an attempt by plain clothes to barge uninvited into the internal Party Building Directorate meeting.
The alert MDC Alliance members resisted this unlawful act resulting in a scuffle where some of our members were injured and the arrest of the 3.
The 3 were granted $10000 bail, ordered to stay at their given addresses,not to interfere with state witnesses and to report every Monday and Friday between 0600hrs and 1800hrs.
The matter has been remanded to 14 April 2021 for routine remand.
It is sad to note that the “law” chooses to turn a blind eye when ZANU PF convene meetings attended by thousands of people but suddenly become alive when the MDC Alliance convenes internal Executive meetings.
Amai Mnangagwa is travelling the length and breadth of this nation with a huge entourage conducting cooking workshops at a time the nation is dithering on the brink of collapse.
She has been to Chinhoyi,Gweru,Kwekwe and Masvingo where it is alleged that hungry and angry students chased her away and riot police allegedly came to her rescue.We haven’t even heard when she will be arrested for violating the same COVID-19 lockdown regulations.
It will be a great day for democracy when she is also arrested for violating the same.
As poor peace loving , patriotic Zimbabweans we shall not be deterred by a rich,selfish and gluttonic few from converging for change. We shall not continue to wallow in poverty while a few suppress us for their own selfish gains.
We cannot let the nation sink on our watch.We shall continue to converge as citizens until a solution to our crisis as a nation is found.
The Regime should stop acting like an Ian Douglas Smith minion.
