“There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.” – Mliswa

By Simba Chikanza | Former ZANU PF Boss for Mash West, Themba Mliswa on Saturday launched a youth organisation said to be “powerful” which is geared towards achieving democracy and good governance.

There were rumours flying about that top ZANU PF bigwigs are behind it the likes of Mliswa cousin relation Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa and also First Lady Grace Mugabe. But numerous opposition figures including abducted journalist Itai Dzamara’s brother, Patson, were present at the Borrowdale function somewhat demonstrating that the youth action group is inclusive in its political composition.
The Yard acronym stands for- Youth Advocacy for Reform & Democracy.
Mliswa announced of YARD saying: “There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.”
But one of the members said the organisation will not dabble in politics. “This is not a political party, it is a movement of young people who are just keen to grab their destiny into their own hands…We are not the leaders of tomorrow, we lead here now,” they said.
When asked by ZimEye.com if the group would not end up tilting towards Mliswa’s politics of choice, the former MP replied saying that would never happen since the members are from a broad spectrum of opposing parties. FIRST RECORDING:

  1. mliswa has from the very beginning had fantasies of ambition, but his volatile nature explodes, imploding his ambitions. .. every time. Nothing he does will work. My warning to all people… do not work with mliswa. Give him a wide berth
