Staff Reporter| Matabeleland North Provincial chairman of the Morgan Tsvangirai led MDC, Thembinkosi Sibindi, is reportedly fighting for his life at the Wankie Colliery Hospital after being involved in an accident in Lupote area of Hwange late Saturday evening.

A comment could not be obtained immediately from senior party officials.

However, lower ranks of the party told ZimEye.com that Sibindi and five others were travelling from a party meeting in Lupane when the vehicle they were travelling in was side-swiped by a trailer of a heavy vehicle travelling from the opposite direction, forcing the vehicle to overturn several times.

ZimEye.com could not immediately establish the conditions of the six senior MDCT provincial officials but the party members described their conditions as critical. More details on the accident were still sketchy at the time of writing.
