President Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday announced a new 22-member Cabinet in a move that saw a few line ministries with functional duplications being merged. The cabinet was met with cynicism with some people labeling it The Blue Roof Cabinet.

The new cabinet is predominantly Mugabe in layout while having a few new faces.

Mnangagwa also appointed six new deputy ministers and 10 provincial affairs ministers.

The appointments were made in terms of Section 104 (1) of the Constitution.

  1. So, this means Zimbabweans will continue to permanently owe these so called liberation fighters? When will it all end? Its like the Ndebele who permanently owe the Shona for tribal wars of 200 years ago. Zim Zim O ooh whaata country!

  2. Thats the point brother thats the point, why do you think we have an Air Marshal and a Major General in the cabinet

  3. Not very bad, but panaDokora naNcube maDisappointer vanhu. Sibusiso Moyo is a good guy we love him. Hope the International community will not be scared by him. I think he was good for the Home affairs ministry

  4. Fantastic heading and indeed its a Blue Roof Cabinet these ex-guerilla fighters act, think ,behave the same, all the excitement has been deflated in less than 7days. I can bet you come elections next year the people now know that you cannot trust these guys and Mugabe will be having the last laugh as ED will obviously be voted out thus if he does not do 2008 act by asking the army to intervene again.
