Auxillia Mnangagwa Sheds “Croc Tears” While Usurping Ministers Powers

Kennedy Kaitano | The drama in Zimbabwe never ends.

When she visited female inmates in prison during her Christmas visit, First Lady Auxilia Mnangagwa “promised the inmates in front of the prison authorities and Ministry officials who had accompanied her that the conditions in the prison must be worked on and completed by end of January next year”.

Barely a month ago, Zanu PF gave the reasons for firing former President Robert Mugabe that he had allowed his wife to usurp executive powers. Now who is she, Auxilia Mnangagwa to promise inmates that their conditions will be improved next month? Where does she get that authority from? She is now, just like Gucci Grace did, to order Government officials to perform certain activities within a specific timeframe?

So should Zanu PF fire their President for not cautioning his wife not to usurp the powers of government structures? Zimbabweans should never expect Zanu PF to fire their new found president and also national president by default. I say Mnangagwa is National President  by default because he inherited an illegitimate crown after the bussing Nikuv voters as is now being unwittingly admitted by Oppah Muchinguri, Retired Lieutenant General Dr Engelbert Rugeje and the principal of the Chitepo Ideological School, Munyaradzi Machacha who made the disclosure while addressing Zanu PF provincial chairpersons and provincial commissars in Harare this Wednesday.
Auxilia Mnangwagwa was the wife of the now President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, when he was Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs which oversees the welfare of prisoners, and it is unbelievable to now hear that she is “shocked because the place is not fit for human habitation.” Probably we should believe in her shock, but that that tells a big story that she is faking her sympathies with the prison conditions. If she really cared, she would have visited the place before to see how the institutions that were, until just over a month ago, run by her husband, were functioning.
People of Zimbabwe, please open your eyes wide and see who really is saying things and making promises out of love of you and love of the welfare of Zimbabwe. Vote them our. Do not vote for anyone from Zanu PF in the coming election. They are all fake, they are taking us for a ride. A party that has been in power for 37 years and the country is still in the shambles that it is should be kicked out.
Zanu PF will never fire their new President for allowing his wife to usurp the powers of the executive, so let fire the entire Zanu PF in the next elections.
Please let us kick Zanu PF out in 2018.

  1. I’m not arguing for the sake of arguing. You should also stop arguing for the sake of arguing just because it’s the 1st lady. My facts are based on principle whether it’s the 1st lady or anyone in a position of influence. Holding a baby doesn’t make a prisoner innocent. She committed a crime and should be punished. What I am against is for the 1st lady to try and interfere in the justice system by using her influence whether directly and indirectly. You should understand that the 1st lady is also a human being and makes mistakes like everyone else. The comments she made “I will look into it” were inappropriate and uncalled for. Having said that she should continue with the good work she is doing. For your own information because I like the 1st lady, I have raised my concerns through the appropriate channels and got a very positive response. Case closed. Happy new year in advance.

  2. Ya!! Mugabe did a number on us as Zimbabweans – seriously! Can’t see good from evil anymore. One thing is for sure though: the Drip Drip effect of ED strategy is being implemented and soon, a drip becomes a flood AND then a Ripple effect and before anyone realises it, ED has gotten rid of the “unelectable” misnomer having won your”free and fair elections” and he becomes his own man.

  3. This article is a good example that Zimbabwe isnt ready for free press.
The Press is full of opinion and no facts, no news.

Be responsible as a journalist. You are not doing Freedom of Press Justice.

Independent Press should be engaging in balanced reporting, to encourage the power that be, to allow press freedom.

  4. My man ..stop arguing for the sake of arguing.

If you were her and a mother holding a baby , sentenced to 10 years please with you to assist her …what would you say?

Tell me the exact words you think are appropriate to tell such women? …how would you answer her?

Lets not be overly analytical for nothing. In the event she does influence the justice system, lets crucify her …has she tampered with justice, was her response wrong..if it was how would you in her place ,have answered?

  5. They are not accusations she said it. The promise of “I will look into it” is what’s worrying. We say no influence to the justice system no matter who it is otherwise everything she is doing is spot.

  6. Sigh!! My point is there is a number of ways this can be interpreted.. however the important thing is ..she hasn’t done anything YET ,it’s mere speculation and imagination that you are basing your arguments on.
Till you show evidence of her using her influence, all else is mere speculation and slander.

  7. Lobbying to the relevant ministry or talking to her huzzie comes back to my point of using her influence as the 1st lady and in the process this could be interpreted as trying to undermine the justice system. Anyway like I said she is better than Grace.

  8. The word ” look into it” can have a member of meanings .

It can mean she will talk to her husband the president

It can mean she will use the Zanu women’s league to lobby for female prisoners

It can mean she will lobby the relevant ministry..

Remember, like any other citizen her right to lobby and activism has not been removed because she is first lady .

Point is ,until Something has happened, any accusations are premature and any way ,how would you respond if you were her

You are the first lady ,you see a woman serving 10 years ,she begs you to assist her get out of jail ,what would you say?
” Eeeh look vasikana Ini handisi minister of Justice Saka Dai mamira ministry of Justice yaita zvayafunga …. ”

Is it not better to say ” eeeh vasikana ndichanokunzwirai kuvakuru ..” which translated would mean ” I will look into it”

Lets not be overly analyatical for nothing.

  9. Changamire, it seems you don’t even know what “legitimate” means. Your argument is suspiciously a regurgitation of what many sore losers are saying. That government is legitimate. Musangoratidza chidofo chenyu paruzhinji.

  10. I can understand how angry you are Mapako. However you can still put forward your facts without using such strong words. I agree these people are becoming too personal and too blind to the good that the woman is trying to do. By the end of the day hopefully we see the real results that we as Zimbabweans are wishing for. All what we want is a better country whose economic institutions all work according to the internationally recognized system standards. It doesn’t matter who brings that change.

For now we have Munangagwa and team. Let’s give them a chance to prove themselves. We can’t all be leaders, can we?

  11. Although for me she is better than the previous 1st lady, however, where does she gets the powers “to look into it” when she is a mere 1st lady. Is she implying that she would like to use her influence to undermine the justice system?.

  12. You people can throw insults at each other – but the fact remains. ZANU-PF as a whole needs to be thrown into the dustbin they are all morons, hypocrites and any adjective u can think of. The writer of this article is right – we need vote them out completely. We need a government free of war vets, free of army personnel and free of Lacoste/G40 elements.

  13. For sure ndichananzva kusvika hameno iwe imbwa ye G40 ngochani ..mheche yamai inezvindakwenya mwana wehure

  14. zirema remunhu, ende unonanzwa mukosho wachiwenga, ngwena etc as you have been doing all along. This is an illegitimate regime.

  15. This is below the belt ,right down unethical and unprofessional, and meant to deliberately smear and tarnish someone.

When we celebrate the independent media ,we are not saying tell us what you hate ,we are saying tell news without interference.

Who told you they are croc tears?
    Did she pardon anyone?
So saying she will look into it is usurping ministry powers…she like anyone can look into it and Looby relevant authorities, one of them her husband.

    Idiot editor
