1. He is a war veteran, an ex political detainee, a nationalist, a revolutionary. These are rare qualities.
2. He is mature, haaite 37 years in power as he is 75 but he will do his best in
the next 5 years and retire
3. He has opened Zimbabwe for business unlike the former dispensation that shut down Zimbabwe and unlike the MDC who called for sanctions to shut down Zimbabwe
4. He is a progressive unifier as seen by visiting Tsvangirai, an opponent, when he was ill, committing to pay his medical bills and refunding what he had previously paid, giving Tsvangirai his pension and lastly, upon his demise, a state assisted burial. And allowing Mugabe to retire peacefully
5. He has restored Zimbabwe to the global picture and integration which is set to boost economic recovery and growth after decades of economic stagnation under Mugabe administration
6. ED’s experience in the former administration makes him the guy to easily understand what needs to be fixed, no learning curve effect on ED
7. He is a tough leader required for peace and stability at the moment where Zimbabwe risks invasion on the political scene by militias and mobs who do not want constitutionalism and the rule of law, who in fact think thuggery is a right as witnessed at Tsvangirai’s funeral, harvest hse in recent weeks and in town after the shooting incident.
8. His respect of the people’s voice as the voice of God resonates well with people
of sound heart and mind
9. He peacefully & successfully retired Mugabe and ushered in a new dispensation, something even Tsvangirai, Chamisa, Mujuru, Mliswa, Biti and the masses of Zimbabwe celebrated on 18 Nov 2017 proving his revolutionary legacy is not a fluke
10. He has widely been accepted by the international community as a new leader offering hope for a new trajectory for the future of Zimbabwe 11. He is a man of his word.
Nothing about Zanu Pf did I mention, he is above party politics but a
nationalist and a father who is reforming Zanu Pf politics and showing
exemplary behaviour to political leaders in their politgicking. ED is the man. He is teaching people to do away with hate speach including hate slogans. *No more pasi neMDC or pasi nangana.*He deserves to be given a full term to completely stabilise Zimbabwe economically, politically and socially.
12. There is no credible and non-experimental viable option besides ED at the moment amongst those speculated to contest him.
13. Those speculated to contest ED have nothing on offer that I am aware of except to ride on Tsvangirai’s legacy or to disembark on Mugabe’s legacy. This is my choice as a Zimbabwean with national interests at heart and as a voter.
I have at some point criticised Robert Mugabe and Grace Mugabe and now I criticise
Chamisa thuggery and I have criticized Biti and Ncube and Mangoma
and Mai Mujuru for politics of disunity that did not serve the interests
of Zimbabwe to remove the dictatorship of Mugabe. ED has shown how we can tolerate each other in this new dispensation and how all we can express our wishes and
hope without being labelled. The president is not a ZANU Pf president
or mdc president but national president. By voting ED you are voting
for your nation’s president not mdc president.
