As ZimEye.com accurately revealed last week, the nurse who took care of the late MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai during his last days, Nomsa Ncube was found dead, a development that has seen her family claiming that she was murdered.

Ms Nomsa Ncube worked at the Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre (WDGMC), Johannesburg.

She was found dead four days after MDC-T president Mr Morgan Tsvangirai died from colon cancer.

She was snapped in a picture somewhat posing for a shoot with Tsvangirai at his bedside.

On the very day she was found dead, last Monday, she was due for a disciplinary hearing to do with that picture. The hearing was scheduled for early morning 10am. Analysts in the ZimEye newsroom argue that she might not have been guilty of the alleged offence as someone likely a Tsvangirai family member, did it.

A family member claiming she may have been killed while some online sources allege that she committed suicide following public condemnation when her picture with Tsvangirai started circulating.

Zimbabwe’s consul general to South Africa, Batiraishe Mukonoweshuro confirmed Ncube’s death and said investigations were underway to ascertain the cause of death. A family source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the nurse was killed as she was found in a pool of blood.
