By Staff Reporter| The probe into the violence that occurred at the MDC’s Bulawayo provincial offices yesterday has seen allegations flung at Vice President Thokozani Khupe’s main personal aide.

MDC Standing Committee member, Chalton Hwende told ZimEye the man who was filmed being brutally stoned is in fact a Nelson Chamisa supporter. This was contrary to claims by the Khupe camp who maintain that the victim is one of Khupe’s loyal followers.

Yesterday senior office holder and Khupe backer Mr Abednico Bhebhe named well known Chamisa backers who include Mr Gift Banda who he alleges were responsible.

But Hwende had a different account.

“Our ward 16 chairman was brutally attacked and left for dead by W[NAME REDACTED] the PA to Khupe at the MDC T HQ in Bulawayo,” Hwende told ZimEye.

He continued saying that the “majority of injured people are actually our own people. They went to collect all our furniture from the office.”
