Stanley Goreraza | There has never been a genuine Prophet or a genuine man of God who became rich doing Gods work. Gods work is sacred and is not rewarded by donations from men and the treasures of this world which end at death.
Gods work promotes righteousness and not prosperity. God admonishes righteousness even in the absence of prosperity.
Righteousness is prosperity of the heart. It is happiness in times of sadness, joy even in pain, everything when there is nothing, satisfaction in hunger and thirst.
Material prosperity is an attempt to satisfy greed and the gospel of material prosperity is an ungodly attempt at justifying greed and love for the pleasures and luxuries of this world.
To prosper is to triumph over evil, to reject and resist sin and temptation. It is not acquiring and gathering possessions. Temptation includes the riches of this world in which you will find many deadly sins which have corrupted the world and men resulting in wars, strife, hatred and lies.
Anyone who teaches men that God wants you to be rich is a liar. But the one who teaches that God requires righteousness is a man from God.
Man is poor when it comes to truth, mercy, forgiveness, charity, kindness and wisdom but these are riches to God. Man is wealthy when it comes to possessions but this is nothing to God. The riches of this world are poverty to God but virtues and righteousness in which man is poor is great wealth to God.
It is not riches that will give you life without end but righteousness and good deeds.
Never has there been a righteous man who died and was sent to hell. But many who died rich were denied heaven and sent to hell.
