Two ZIFA Board members Piraishe Mabhena and
Felton Kamambo – have quit the association.

The move will trigger some
changes in the association because elections have to be held within the next two months.

The ZIFA Constitution says: “If more than 50% of the
positions should become vacant, the general
secretary shall convene an extraordinary congress
within two months in order to elect a replacement
for the remaining term under the
supervision of the electoral committee according to the
ZIFA electoral code.”

The latest move means Philip
Chiyangwa’ s term of office has literally expired.
