German Broadcaster Boss’ Comments On Investing In Zimbabwe

By Staff Reporter| LIVE-BLAST: The visiting German broadcaster, Deutshe Welle’s boss has made a comment on Zimbabwe as an investor friendly nation.

Speaking during a panel discussion with Zim journalists at Meikles Hotel in Harare, Mr. Peter Limbourg was quizzed by TV presenter Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa who said, “Mr Limbourg are you willing to invest in Zimbabwe?”

He replied saying,  “I think well, I am not a private entrepreneur. If I would be a private entrepreneur, I would probably invest in Zimbabwe because given that your government is doing the right things; because I believe this is a great country, great people and highly educated, and dedicated, so I think people should invest in Zimbabwe if the rules of engagement are sufficient, and if you know as an investor that this is going to be a solid investment, then for us at DW we have correspondents here…we hope to get closer but we saw the past the international media wasn’t so much welcome, and we hope to see…”
