By Terrence Mawawa| Transport Minister Joram Gumbo has admitted that there is a sour relationship between the government and Geiger International, an Austrian company that won the Beitbridge- Chirundu Dualisation Tender.

Responding to a question on the progress of the dualisation project from MDC Senator Morgan Komichi in the Upper House, Gumbo said Geiger International workers were being beaten up because of their incompetence.

“You have received reports about Geiger International employees who are being harassed by resettled farmers.

Yes such things are happening because these people are reneging on their promises.

We are yet to withdraw the offer we gave them- contrary to what is being reported by some sections of the media.

We have given them 60 days to put their house in order,” said Gumbo.
