Terrence Mawawa|President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is currently in the United States of America is expected to attend a traditional cleansing ceremony in Chivi District on Friday, according to government sources.

Government officials in Chivi told ZimEye.com Mnangagwa would attend the ceremony meant to exorcise evil spirits besieging his “esteemed office.”

“President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to attend the secret cleansing ceremony at a shrine in Chivi and spirit mediums and members of the shumba totem will lead the process,” claimed a senior government official.

No official comment could be obtained from the Office of the President and Cabinet on the matter.
