Terrence Mawawa|The Minister of State for Masvingo Province Ezra Chadzamira is working with ruling party sympathisers to force the police to arrest two MDC A councillors, it has emerged.

Disgruntled elements within the police force said Chadzamira was exerting relentless pressure on them to arrest MDC councillors Godfrey Kurauone(ward 4) and Daniel Mberikunashe(ward 5) -Masvingo Urban Constituency.

Zanu PF is desperate to control operations at the Civic Centre, the Masvingo City Council headquarters.

“The pressure that is being exerted on us by Chadzamira is unbearable. We are not saying there is no case but why is Chadzamira keen to have the two councillors arrested?

As far as we are concerned, the issue is being handled by the Local Government Ministry.

We strongly believe that the issue has been politicised and we are not willing to be used by political figures to advance their personal agendas,” a female constable told ZimEye.com.
