BREAKING- ZESA Fires Its Chief Executive Joshua Chifamba

By Own Correspondent- ZESA Holdings has fired its chief executive Joshua Chifamba following resolutions by the power utility’s board not to extend his second term contract.
Chifamba was last year suspended and arrested on allegations of corruption and criminal abuse of office over $35 million underhand deals involving an Indian company, PME.
The ZESA board decided not to extend Chifamba’s contract on December 13, last year.
The resolution was endorsed by the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) in consultation with the Minister of Energy.
Chifamba was arrested together with Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution managing director Engineer Julian Chinembiri and his finance director Thokozani Dhliwayo
