Ideal Zimbabwe political party Tinashe Jonas will remain in prison custody after Harare Magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa denied him bail after he was arrested on Monday 11 March 2019 and charged with insulting or undermining authority of President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Magistrate Mugwagwa ruled that Jonas, who is represented by Nontokozo Dube-Tachiona of ZLHR, is not a good candidate to be granted bail as he is likely to abscond attending trial after he allegedly entered the country illegally.
