Farai Dziva|Bulawayo Giants Highlanders have won the 2019 Independence Trophy after beating bitter rivals Dynamos 2-0 at the National Sports Stadium.

The first half was a tale of missed chances as both sides took turns to waste opportunities that came their way.

Highlanders were the better side in the second half and the Bulawayo Giants took the lead in the 49 th through Bukosi Sibanda’ s thunderbolt.

Dembare threw everything at Bosso hoping to get an equaliser but they found the Highlanders defence unyielding.

Bosso doubled their lead 10 minutes from time to kill the game as a contest.
