Jane Mlambo| A soldier based at 1-3 Battalion reserve force in Plumtree was discharged from the force last week after complaining over the ruling Zanu PF’s failure to run the country.

According to a source at the Plumtree base, the soldier commonly known as Mutambudzi was heard by his commanders openly complaining that ZANU PF was failing to revive the economy.

The source added that Mutambudzi had earlier been cautioned by his commanders in the run up to the July 2018 harmonized elections when he openly declared that he would vote for the opposition MDC candidate, Nelson Chamisa.

Fearing that Private Mutambudzi would influence other serving soldiers to revolt against the government, the Army commanders took a decision to fire Mutambudzi from work .

Currently the soldiers at Plumtree camp have come out guns blazing accusing the ZANU PF regime of using the army in thwarting all possible demonstrations by the angry civilians but in return awarding nothing to the impoverished soldiers .
