By Farai D Hove| ZANU PF President Emmerson Mnangagwa has removed Joram Gumbo from the Ministry of Energy and Power Development.

Gumbo will now be replaced by the Deputy Transport Minister Fortune Chasi.

The development comes after the nation’s electricity woes continued leading to continuous power outages.

Gumbo torched storm when he last week announced that Zimbabwe is to go dark.

Chasi has been Mnangagwa’s blue eyed boy for a while and once deputised him (Mnangagwa) at the Ministry of Justice during the Robert Mugabe days.

The Perm Secretary for Information, Nick Mangwana congratulated Chasi in a tweet saying, “congratulations minister
Congratulations Honourable Minister.”
