The Movement for Democratic Change Alliance has been invited to the launch of the Political Actors Dialogue at the Harare International Conference Centre set for today, one of the conveners Justice Selo Nare said.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to officially launch the dialogue.
Leaders of at least 17 political parties are taking part in the national dialogue which MDC leader Nelson Chamisa has boycotted because he argues that Mnangagwa cannot convene any dialogue since he is one of the disputants.
The national dialogue is being convened by Nare and Zimbabwe Gender Commission Chair Margaret Mukahanana-Sangarwe.
Chamisa preferred the dialogue to be convened by someone from outside Zimbabwe or a local church leader but United Nations representative to Zimbabwe Bishow Parajuli said that locally initiated dialogue usually provided a lasting solution.
Chamisa does not recognise Mnangagwa as President of the country because he argues that he won last year’s presidential elections though he failed to prove so in court.
